1. Kevin Williams. Done good so far.
2. EJ Henderson. Taking longer than expected, but he'll be great soon.
3. Nate Burleson. Been consistent thus far, not a good year this year. But who had one?
4. Onterrio Smith. Could have been a starter, screwed himself up. Let's see what we do next year.
6. Eddie Johnson. Sucked.
7. Mike Nattiel. Would have been a STer his entire career IMO. But was decent.
7. Keenan Howry. Should have been gone along time ago. Finally cut this year.

Overall: B+ Alot of contributors in the early rounds.

1. William Joseph DT Miami

This guy is alright. He's shown signs of being worth the pick this year but the problem is he's injured a lot. Not a bad pick but our second round pick turned out better - B

2. Osi Umenyoira DE Troy State

Very good pick and a steal at the second round. Gives every offensive lineman problems. Leads NFC in sacks this year - A+

3. Visanthe Siancoe TE Morgan State

Solid backup tight end. Of course he doesn't get much playing time because he's behind jeremy shockey. But I think this guy can be a starter in the NFL. Made some nice catches last week against Wash. - B

4. Rod Babers CB Texas

Who are you? I don't think this guy even made the cut. What a waste of a draft pick - F

5. David Diehl OG Illinois

Starter for us this year and shows a lot of promise. He's been one of our better o-line man this season. - B+

6. Willie Ponder WR SE Missouri State

Good punt/kick returner. that's about all he's good for. special teams is big nowadays though. - C+

7. Charles Drake FS Michigan

I think he sucks and was cut - F

pretty good draft in my opinion. We wasted a couple picks that could've really helped our secondary now. We suck right now and if those two guys were at least decent I think we would have more depth on our secondary now and we won't have deloatch anymore -_-

Wow.. reading the rest of the thread I looks like we owned all you *****es, even if we took Micheal Haynes with our 1st overall pick.
Not hard to own the Niners when Terry Donahue was making our draft picks.

i give us an A- on the simple fact that we got Osi Umenyiora in 2003

I think William Joseph is gonna come around when he manages to stay healthy

Round 1 Pick 5: Terence Newman CB Kansas State

Came out on fire his rookie season but suffered a sophomore slump last year on one of the leagues worst defenses. Has come back strong in 2005 and looks like the player Dallas was taking with a top 5 pick

Round 2 Pick 38: Al Johnson C Wisconsin

Took over the starting duties in week 10 of 2004 and has been there sinse then. Undersized and gets pushed around but is a very heady player. May have to work harder to keep his job in 06' but will provide depth either way.

Round 3 pick 69: Jason Witten TE Tennessee

Many were wondering why he was still around in the 3rd. May turn out to be the steal of the draft. One of the best young TE's in the game.

Round 4 Pick 103: Bradie James LB LSU

This hard hitting LB dropped and Dallas grabbed him. Looked good as a rookie but his game fell off in 2004. Came on strong this year when Dallas switched to the 3-4, a defense that caters to his abilities. Starter from Day 1 this year and starting to come into his own.

Round 5: No Pick

Round 6 Pick 178: BJ Tucker CB Wisconsin

Speed deamon never could stay healthy and was released in 04'. Is making some plays with 49ers and may have a future as a nickle back in the league.

Round 6 Pick 186: Zuriel Smith WR Hampton

True sleeper and special temas guru with speed to burn. Injuries and turn overs got him in Parcells dog house early and was released in 04'. Has been on and off the Cowboys roster since then.

Round 7 Pick 219: Justin Bates OG Colorado

Never made the opening day roster

OVERALL

The first 4 rounds were great. 4 starters, 1 pro bowler and 2 more that look like they are headed that way.

The last 3 picks are no longer on the roster.

Grade B+

Drayton Florence DB Tuskegee - B - Great pick up, beat out davis and is starting now
Terrance Kiel DB Texas A&M - C+ - Good in run support, but not great in coverage and doesnt scary opposing WRs

Mike Scifres P Western Illinois - A - Top 3 punter in the NFL
Hanik Milligan DB Houston - C - Great special teams guy, but not much as a S

George Foster was the only good pick. Quentin Griffin looked like he could have been a star, but... He was not. He's not even on the team.

And I don't even think anyone else from the draft is on the team right now.
