I hope my beloved Bears get to draft Ernie Sims from FSU. He's got the 4.3 speed to cover tight ends and running backs and will fit nicely in Lovie Smiths cover 2 defense. They were missing a weak side line backer but could get a great addidtion if Ernie sims is still around when they pick. Due to his injuries, we may get lucky and get him. Although, a tight end would be a nicer fit as we have no one at that position. Mercedes Lewis would be great. Otherwise, we should draft D and in the later round, draft Thomas out of texas. Did you see that guy catch those balls with his hands. In the Rose Bowl, he made himself a lot of money by showing what he can do. Although he does lack size, he'll be a great target for Grossman.

I would think your defense is pretty set. I would start working on that Offense. To be fair and objective, I DO think adding a tightend to your squad would do wonders for your team, with Rex, adding the playaction ya'll will move up in the passing ranks for sure. Only downside is your run production will decrease slightly with more passing opportunities.

Just give me a top 5 TE and inject some youth on the OL and I'll be happy.

Getting Ernie Sims wouldnt draw any complaints from me.

I hear you on the tightend and would love to have Vince Young but we'll have to give Grossman time as he as never played a full season for us. I'll still take Grossman over Alex Smith and Arron Rodgers anyday though.

Ernie Sims may be an outstanding athlete, but no way in hell does he have 4.3 speed...
4.3 Speed is Randy Moss, Michael Vick speed
he would be in the mid 4.5 category, which is extremely fast for LB.

well, coaches do exagerate speed and everything but we'll see how his stock rises during the combines. He plays like 4.3 though.

I WOULD HAVE TO FIGURE THERE WILL BE PRETTY EQUAL PLAYERS AT POSITIONS OF BIGGER NEED FOR US THEN LB IN THE 1ST ROUND. WITH THE DEPTH AT LB, WE MAY FIND OURSELVES A STEAL IN THE 2ND OR 3RD THOUGH.
