RIGHT NOW IT'S TO HIGH FOR BOTH OF THEM IMO.
CUTLER COULD EVENTUALLY GET THAT HIGH, BUT THAT IS ONLY OF HE PUTS ON A GREAT PERFORMANCE IN THE ALL STAR GAMES AND WORKOUTS. AS OF NOW I THINK HE'S YOUR TYPICAL PLAYER WHERE SOMEONE SAYS HE GOES EARLY 1ST WHEN EVERYONE HAD HIM AS A 2ND ALL SEASON, THEN EVERYONE STARTS TO OVERRATE HIM.

QB's go higher just because they are QB's...and the good ones are rare....
I think Cutler will carry a grade to a late first to mid second QB, but with some good all-star games, and decent combine, he'll still have that draft board value, but since he's a QB, he'll justify that mid-first round pick.

Jacobs doesnt belong in this draft IMO.

Ouch, that's kind of harsh isn't it? The season before this he threw 41 TD's to 4 INT's. He can't be THAT bad of a prospect. I would be willing to risk a 3 or 4 on him.
1st. Hell no.
Cutler, I haven't even seen the guy throw one freaking ball, so I shouldn't comment on a guy I have no clue about.

Jacobs had a great years last year. But you didn't hear much from him this year. I thought and still think he a great QB. He reminds me of Phillip Rivers. As for Cutler, great arm and some NFL teams even have him rated over Lienart base on the fact of his arm strength.

I couldn't agree with this more. That said, I think Detroit would be smart to get him because they have so many weapons in place. Arizona might also work. Hell, Miami would be fine.
This guy isn't getting past the middle of the first round unless he bombs right now. I mean, he's gonna need to show up high to the combine and pick fights with the reps from every team for him to slide.

see...I don't really like playing those scenarios..if this player was in this system and if this player was in this system etc..etc.....
Production is Production...regradless.
|
If production was all that mattered, then Jason White would have been a 1st round pick, as would every QB to ever play for Boise State. That is just stupid.
System and surrounding talent have everything to do with success. Look at nearly ever QB Spurier coached at Florida. They all had huge production, but most busted big time in the NFL.
