Kirsch is a decent QB but has never been a fit in that system...I was surprised that is where he ended up....looked like he was on his way to Arkansas and then went to Purdue at the last minute...
I wish Kirsch well though.....he is from my hometown...Lebanon PA.....Kirsch would become the 3rd QB in the NFL from that town...the other two are pretty recognizable.....Frank Reich and my former high school teammate Kerry Collins.
Kirsch was a heck of a high school player. Grew up in neighboring town and constantly saw him on highlights and in the newspapers. Don't know exactly what happened at Purdue, but this is a puzzling choice. However, if he can play, he'll get a shot, think Matt Cassel from USC.
he wont be missed here at purdue. half way through last year painter took the starting qb job, and has it in his grasp. the purdue traditional drop back passer. kirsh was never really able to fit this offense
