Thats too much to expect from most backs. They can only get what the defense gives them, and you can't controll when they're gunna give you alot.

We'll have an extra 3rd round pick, but RB's are a dime a dozen.

LenDale White played behind possibly the best OL in the history of CFB, while he will more than likely be a nice player he doesn't warrant us to move up to get him.

We need more needs, say Manny Lawson.

Parker is a good situational runner, but not an everyday 40 min back like Bettis was in his hayday. I think White or Williams could be a good "MUDDER" which what classifies Jerome as.

NOPE in fact i would move down and try to pick another 2nd or 3rd pick . Giving us 2 second round pics and 2 three round picks . But if Lendale White where to fall to us its a no brainer .

we'll probably have 2 comp picks in the 3rd round because of free agency. I thought Hope was a RFA but I was wrong. I think at the end of round 1 we have to look at front 7 or OL.

Trade UP to get a RUNNING BACK?

Hell no. UDFA Willie Parker went for 1200 and you want to move up in the first round?

RBs are easy to find.

If the Steelers are picking #32 overall, I'd trade the pick away to any team for a 2007 first round pick. Then package the 2nd pick and a 4th to move up in the 2nd round.

I'd be happy just slipping a little more into the 2nd picking up another 4th or some other mid-late round pick. Get DQwell Jack and Nance in the 2nd and pick up a C and FS with the rest of day 1.

That actually sounds like a perfect draft plan for the Steelers.

If you really feel the need to draft a power back to change gears and split carries with Willie Parker, you can have Cedric Humes, RB, Virginia Tech on the second day. He has virtually the same size as LenDale White (though probably not the same speed) and was a productive runner in college. Just a thought.

There are a couple of bigger backs down the charts we could look at , Humes is probably the best of em but I'm not sold on him either. I'd like the Steelers to take a look at Maurice Morris in free agency. So if we don't pick one up in free agency or day 1. Humes/day 2 RB would probably be just a stop gap, hope we find something in the rough until next year.
