My feelings on the needs:
- Playmaking WR, one who can take over a game
- Coverage safety, after watching the game today... Blah!
- Pass-rushing DE, move Pryce to the interior, and get a passrusher!
- FRANCHISE, CONSISTENT runningback, I'm tired of Tatum Bell getting 120 yards and then 30.
- Backup quarterback... Bradlee Van Pelt?
- Young, great offensive tackle, Lepsis will most likely be on his way out. Time to bring in new.
So this is how I see our draft, or this is how I HOPE to see our draft.
1a) Santonio Holmes | WR | Ohio State
1b) Daryn Colledge | OT | Boise State
2) Manny Lawson | DE | North Carolina State
3) Maurice Drew | RB | UCLA
4a) Daniel Bullocks | S | Nebraska
4b) Marcus Vick | QB | Virginia Tech
5) Marcus Colston | WR | Hofstra - What a beast at the Shrine game, his stock is going to rise extremely over the next few months... Kind of like a Vincent Jackson prospect.
6) Derrick Ross | RB | Tarleton State

i we pass on a WR... none of them stand out to me.. get one later in the draft... how bout this
1a eric winston
1b Darnell Bing
2. Ray Edwards
3. Greg eslinger
4a guard from minnesota
4b best qb around.. besides vick.. that punk doesnt deserve to be drafted
the other picks i like the ones you have... yes mine has us taking in 3 o line with our first 6 picks... but if we do do that then out line problems for the future will be solved and it would give time for them to develope

Santonio Holmes, I'd hate to pass up on him.
IF we would get a playmaking, big name wide receiver in the free agency, then I would like your draft. But with Rod's future in doubt, I say we spend 1/3rd of our cap on a playmaking WR, and if one doesn't hit us in the free agency, then Santonio Holmes will be our #1 guy on our board when the last weekend of April rolls around, I guarentee it.

Defensive Line and Safety need to be first round choices, or one of those addressed twice early this draft. They played like ****ing **** today.
Kiwanuka, Bing, Edwards. Something like that. I don't care, we just need a ****ing pass rush and someone to replace Nick "I Suck" Ferguson.

Ferguson is better than Lynch.

Bull****, I had friends standing in the South Endzone today when Ferguson should have intercepted that pass and it went through his hands. For every interception Ferguson had, he ****ed it up. He allowed a key touchdown in every loss, among others throughout the year. Lynch is getting old, so that's obvious. We need a safety bad.

I never said we didn't need a safety, I'm just saying that Ferguson is better than Lynch, at least in coverage he is.

Our Needs:
1a) S: a true ballhawk that can step in and contribute right away.
1b) DT: we need to get some push from the interior line.
1c) WR: one who can take over a game.
2) DE: I'd like to get someone who can come in on passing situations, pin his ears back and create havoc in opponent's backfields.
3) O-line: We need the next gen at most spots.
4) QB: Bradlee Van Pelt cannot remain our only other option. Either we take a guy that can step in at #2 as insurance or draft a bit of a project that can truly be molded into our next starter.
5) RB: Just because we don't NEED a franchise back, doesn't mean we should go without one.
I don't see any true #1 WR in this draft. I say we hold off on trying to draft such a guy until next year. Other than that, I think we could hit up that list pretty good. Check it out, my ultimate wishlist:
1st Round A) Darnell Bing, S, USC
If he can just stay healthy he could be a star.
1st Round B) Claude Wroten, DT, LSU
He had issues off the field, but Shanahan has shown no fear and this guy is just what we need.
2nd Round) Greg Eslinger, C, Minnesota
Best center in the draft in my opinion, but some won't think so because of his lack of size. He fits right in to our system too.
3rd Round) Daryn Colledge, OT, Boise State
Another guy that is undervalued because of size. He's awfully good though.
4th Round A) Jerious Norwood, RB, Mississippi State
Underrated athelete that has all the makings of a star. He's got great speed and very nice size. Behind our line he could go off.
4th Round B) Mark Setterstrom, OG, Minnesota
Completing the trifecta of drafting a lineman at each position, the future upfront would be secure for a long time to come.
5th Round) D.J. Shockley, QB, Georgia
I love this guy as a pro prospect. With Plummer as our starter for a few more years, he could watch, learn and develope under the wing of Shanahan.
6th Round) Chris Gocong, DE, Cal Poly
Amazing stats even if it was against third rate opposition. He might just be one dimensional (pure pass rusher) but that's what we need. Could be a steal this late.
That is a boatload of potential, my friends. I would love that draft. If we could trade Bell for a future third rounder and another low pick in this draft I'd really like to get Garrett Mills, FB/TE, Tulsa. A WR would be nice somewhere. Once we get our comp picks I'll project one.
