If you were hoping to get a glimpse of Marcus McNeill at the Senior Bowl after ducking out of the Hula Bowl don't hold your breath. Once again, McNeill was a no show, not even at weigh-ins.

People tell McNeill has something to hide and those that are trying to figure it out say that his back injuries are worst then advertised. While I'm told your not going to hear anything official out of the McNeill camp, one thing to look for is if and what drills he particiaptes in at the Combine or ProDays. While it's not unusual for players to skip drills at the combine, it's often unheard of for a OL to skip the bench press. The only reason to do so? You got it, a back, shoulder, neck or arm injury which McNeill can claim stake to two of them.

I would expect this story to pick up more heat as we get closer to the combine but it's something to keep an eye on

Do you think this could drop him down to the second round or is it too early to tell.

I think he was already borderline 1st round from what I'm gathering. If he indeed ducks the Combine as I suggested then only a mind blowing performance at ProDays could save him.

I would have every avaliable doctor on this one. To make matters worst, it's not even his shoulder it's his back and neck.

I've heard that some scouts don't even think he's first day talent anymore.

1st day or 1st round? 1st day is pushing it a little far unless he medically is found not up to par.

I remember a couple of months ago there were rumors that there was some sort of genetic problem with his back. Supposidly his spine isnt completely healthy.

If thats true, it really sucks. I like the kid alot and was hoping the Eagles would either take him or Ryan O'Callaghan.

Too bad. I just hope some team still takes him and gives him a chance. It sucks to see a hard working guy with a good attitude have some some bad luck like this that could ruin his career before it starts. Too bad some of the *******s in this world (spelled: O-W-E-N-S) cant have **** like this happen.

I gurantee, if Mcneil does make a roster, he'll actually appreciate the game and realize how much of a privalege it is.

Well Jordan Gross did the same thing when he came out. Gross did not participate in any Bowl games and he still got drafted early. It just all depends on how he does on his Pro Day that will affect his draft status.

I currently have him as the 5th OT in this draft (second rounder), but injury concerns could drop him as far 10th. It's a deep draft and it's not like he's a sublime talent to begin with. That said, I wish him well and hope he's healthy enough to play at the next level.
