id laugh if the jets move up and steal bush

But really, the jets would probly trade abraham and maybe a 4th rounderish, since theyre def trying to move abraham, and would get leinart in return, i think it is a move to the future and a good start at them rebuilding, definitely wouldnt mind it, god knows they need a QB

My only question about Bush is can he hold up to NFL pounding (blocking also0. I think his talent is so head and shoulders over everyone he went against in college that he didn't get hit nearly as much as he will in the NFL

In a draft so deep, it only makes sense to me to move up for a once-in-a-lifetime type of player. Leinart is not even close to this.

if they really wanted a QB i say go cutler, hes rising and rising everyday and if he isnt taken BEFORE leinart or young, take him, if not stick with brick, not a flashy pick but sure as hell talented and a safe pick.

The best thing the Texans could do (to win), is trade down and build the trenches. That it where the war is won or lost, that is their current area of need, and that is what would make them competitve. Especially in a draft like this, for a team that already has DD.

I agree. An aweful lot of value from a #1 overall.

And thats the reason I still wonder why I am a Jets fan. We do this every year!!!!! Its ridiculous. we dump half our team and then fill it with mediocre players. and then wonder why we underachieve.

IMO, its just another "what if" idea that someone is throwing out there. The Jets dont even have the money to sign the #1 pick. Even after all the people they cut.

The front office, will screw this up, just like they every other time

During the season I'm sure we were all like, HOU needs a solid OLT bad! Remember the rumor about HOU trading for Orlando Pace? While Bush should be great, Dom Davis is still above average, and HOU needs that LT like D'Brick in a bad way. If they could trade down to 4, pick up a DE like John Abraham and still draft D'Brick, I'd say they made out pretty well. Carr would be able to start feeling comfortable in the pocket.

If the Jets want Leinart, it's probably because Mangini would compare him to Tom Brady. He doesn't have the strongest arm in the world, but he's a winner, and he's poised in the pocket. The Jets would have to move ahead of NO, because NO is rumored to want Leinart. NO has the young RT in Jammal Brown to protect Leinart's blindside. I think a trade of Abraham and #4 for the #1 makes all the sense in the world for both clubs, and the Jets could even be moving up for Bush, who knows?

is houston still running a 3-4? If so Abraham would have to move to OLB...

Maybe the Texans could get Mawae and the #4 for the #1

We are moving to a 4-3.

I like Abraham..he would give us a good pass rusher... my problem with him though is he is fairly small. We already have two undersized DEs in Peek and Babin..we need some meat for the Dline.

I like Dbrick and wouldnt be against getting him.. but I dunno if passing on Bush for Dbrick is a good move. Good OTs.. while somewhat rare..are not exactly HARD to get. They are hard to sign in FA, not so hard to get in the Draft. This draft is deep at OT and we could most likely address this need in the 2nd or 3rd round. We may not get Orlando Pace v.2.0.. but we dont necessarily NEED orlando pace..we just need solid players. Bush, on the other hand, could be a rare game changing player.
