Vic Carucci, of NFL.com, reports one rumor making the rounds at the NFL Combine was the New York Jets trading with the Houston Texans to acquire the No. 1 pick so they can select a quarterback to replace QB Chad Pennington. As the rumor goes, the Jets supposedly covet former USC QB Matt Leinart.

if they did this, what would the Saints do? Young? Then what do the Titans and everyone else do?

Why trade up to 1 to get a QB? Why not 3 to get either Young or Leinart because one of the two will most likely fall?

no they wouldnt, because theyre fine at RB, and I really dont think Bush will make as much of an impact as everyone thinks he will.

Then why not 2? It is looking like a lock that Bush goes 1.
And by the way, I agree that Bush won't be the next great thing. He'll have a solid career, but he won't be dominant.

there is no way the saints will trade down with the jets, because the jets would steal there franchise QB, the only way the saints would agree to it is if they fell in love with young or cutler, which i suppose could still happen

because the Saints want Leinart and arent going to budge. The point of moving to 1 would be to skip ahead of the Saints and grab Leinart.

I really doubt it, he was very impressive at college, but he never really showed me anything that said he'd be able to carry the load in the NFL. The bowl game against Texas was proof. He wont put up the kind of numbers he did in college when he only gets 15 or 20 touches a game.
