Solid value, and I don't feel Winston or Scott will go this high.

we're not in the position to make value picks, we have actual HOLES to fill this offseason and DT is not one of them
Booger and Hovan were one of our strong points last season, the team is going to try and resign Hovan this season...even if he leaves, Ellis Wyms and Dewayne White can both play in the middle

Good stuff, but Denver has wet dreams about Jackson.

Follow me here brother. It will help with the mocks down the line...
Dallas will not take a OL in the 1st round. Look LB or S and jump on the BAP between the 2.
|
I looked in both of those directions but ended up with McNeil.
You are like me in that you are adament against one position.... and I respect that... but even I pencil WRs in for KC at times because you just never know how it will go.
As a fan, I can't see them taking a WR like you can't see Dallas taking an OL. But **** happens. Too often, really.

No way we pass up on Chad Jackson

Of course there's a way..... Denver would be spoilt for choice with the talent on the board at that pick.
And unlike a lot of other people (or so it seems), I don't put 100% stock into all the little KFFL rumors that come up about so and so liking so and so.
Holmes was and still is the better receiving prospect, 40-time or not, as far as i'm concerned at least.
I wouldn't bet against Denver taking Chad Jackson, but I sure wouldn't bet the house on it. ****, I wouldn't bet a cheeseburger on it.

Value.
Having watched the draft for years now, I see more teams taking value and you thinking "hmm, why there, they could have drafted [insert position]" but the needs aren't always filled.
As they always say, fill your NEEDs in FA and BUILD through the draft. I can't see Chicago passing on that kind of value all the way down there for a guy like Leonard Pope when there will be a decent TE available in rd 2.
There won't be a corner in the same league as Cromartie in rd 2.

Something dramatic would have to happen for Dallas to go that route but I get the feeling once FA gets started here OT will no longer become an option. Dallas will add a vet before the draft.
3 months ago I would have selected 7 OL in this draft but I now see why Jerry insists they won't and for once he makes sense.

the biggest problem i have is cutler being the first qb taken.. not matter what happens a team would be stupid to take him over young and lienart... expecially a team like the saints who need to start winning soon
