Payton was high on him at the combine which, if nothing else, raises the possibility. I like Cutler myself and I don't buy locks just because they're the common pick.

I disagree that Leinart to N.O is the lock it's been made out to be for months now.

As far as being stupid to take him, that's a matter of opinion. We won't be able to judge that until years down the line. He turns into Big Ben and Leinart turns into Ryan Leaf, then the Saints would look smart.

You can make the argument Leinart's combination of production/tools should make him a higher pick than Cutler, but if Cutler has the ability to be a franchise QB, you take him that high regardless.

Vernon Davis is a good pick especially seeing who's left.

I like the Bunkley selection a lot. There is a 3 million dollar option that will have to be picked up on Wyms and the Bucs are still pondering whether to do it. McFarland will be retained but is injury ridden and doesn't play up to his contract. I'm not all that sure he'll be around much longer after this season. I like White a lot, but as a DE. He's too undersized, IMO, to play inside. You couldn't ask for a better fit at DT in our defense then Bunkley. He's strong (44 reps at the combine at 225), explosive off the line. He also broke FSU's single season record for tackles for loss and there has been some stud DT's to play there. I think with the plethora of OT's in this draft, Tampa would address the need in the 2nd or 3rd round. I think it may even be more the case with us in contract negotiations to bring back Kenyatta Walker. Chris Colmer, our 2nd round pick from last season, could also play into the equation of going OT early. Only other position I would see us going after as a need is WR with Chad Jackson, going into the slot for a season or 2 before taking over for Galloway.

The Good
The Bears need another corner

THe Bad
I would rather have Tye Hill over Cromatie.

I have Hill as the #1 corner... but I don't see him going before Cromartie (unfortunately).
