I believe it was 5 years, 21 million dollars. Not entirely sure though.

In August, Davis signed a $21.1 million contract extension through 2009.

Kinda hard to trade down for Williams when all signs pointed to New Orleans taking him #2.
And hey.. we dont need Ferguson. I dunno if yall have seen my other threads that i have replied in explaining that we dont need ferguson, but in those threads i said we dont need ferguson and explained why we dont need ferguson because we dont need ferguson and if there was one player in the draft that we really dont need, its ferguson, because we dont need ferguson..and ferguson is not a player that we need, because we dont need him, him being ferguson. So if you feel that we DO need ferguson, you would be wrong because we dont need ferguson we dont need ferguson we dont need ferguson we dont need ferguson we dont need ferguson we dont need ferguson we dont need ferguson we dont need ferguson we dont need ferguson.
Is that starting to sink in yet?

I think Brick was going #2 to New Orleans if Bush went #1. It really was half and half. But that really isn't the point. Defensive lineman going #1 do not have a good track record of success. Getting extra picks would've helped you more significantly than Williams. You could have grabbed Hawk at #4 if Williams was gone and added another first rounder to your defense this year. The only logicial reason to hang onto the #1 pick was because you believed Bush was going to walk on water. If you didn't believe it, you trade down and add depth. I stand by my statement that the Texans are retarded. Especially considering how deep this draft is with talent.

For all the *******es here:
The Texans tried to move down a few slots. They didn't get any real offers. The teams below them (they didn't want to go down too far, and lose Williams), I think knew that who they wanted would be there, so they didn't trade. Or they would have lost Williams. I guess they shouldn't have tanked at the end of the year so much!!!

I can't stand Michael Irvin but while I do understand his reasoning, what if Reggie Bush becomes a bust and Mario Williams becomes a stud? The Texans would make the smart and safe choice if it happens

What if Reggie Bush shreds all 3 ligaments in week5, and is never more then mediocre.
The ****ing "if" game is the dumbest in the world. The game of Tards.
