Bill was talking about that the other day. Basically he attributed it to teams not knowing what to do with him. Safeties just are not built like that and most teams had a fear he would not be able to use that size in the pro's but like Bill said, Teams greatly under estimated his speed and athletic ability. He has put 10 pounds on already and seems faster then he was when he came into camp.

Again, it's the piss poor theory that every player needs to fit a mold that caused him to slip.

Atlanta Falcons: DT, S, OL[/b]
DT? Hahano. We've got Coleman, Lavalais, Babineaux, Shropshire, Lake and TJ Jackson. Only two of those (Coleman and Lake) guys have completed more than two seasons. Two are going into their second season. TJ is an undrafted rookie who showed some decent push against the Patriots. We don't need to bring anyone in and stunt anyone's growth, just the same as we don't need to bring any vet WR in to start and take playing and development time from White and Jenkins.

S: I like how they put our most obvious one as the second one.

OL: What the hell ever. Maybe center, but with our system we can usually get who we want late in the draft. Besides, McClure will work for at least a couple more seasons while we get S set. Ojinnaka might take over for Weiner next year as the coaches were pleased with him through camp. Omiyale should get a couple seasons to get use to the system and take over for old man Gandy. Lehr and Forney are fine.

Though I'm, for the most part, a "BPA" thinker, so if there's a DT or OL that fits our system sitting there for us in the first, and he'd be the best available, I'd be in favor of drafting him. Exceptions: QB (can't afford to cut our current starter ), WR (we've taken enough in the first lately ), TE (Crump ) and MLB.

I'd say they're pretty damn dead on with their choices for the 49ers. It depends on how VD, Bryant, Brandon WIlliams, and Battle turn out this year though whether a WR is needed so badly.

Edit: Then again it depends how Parys Haralson and Manny Lawson pan out on the outside on whether we need an OLB.
Edit2: The 49ers under Mike Nolan the past two years are known to just pick BPA, no matter what their needs are anyway.

I agree wholeheartedly with the Browns one, except maybe not an OLB just yet. McMillan's panning out, Stewart's a good backup and McG has yet to play. Need a starting guard and a stud NT for the future IMO.

We wont need a MLB until probably day 2. OL should be a priority.

Green Bay: WR, RB, DE
He got two of them right. But we need a stud rookie RB.

Thanks to everyone else that's posted about their team's needs! I have a quick question for the Titans fans: is your need for OL help so pressing that you'd consider taking someone like Joe Thomas #1 overall?
