Newest college all-star football game to debut in El Paso
EL PASO, Texas The newest college football all-star game will be played in El Paso.
Organizers today announced plans for a Texas versus The Nation game.
The game will feature a team of top-rated college seniors who played college or high school football in Texas -- top-rated seniors from the rest of the country.
C-E-O Kenny Hansmire says the game will debut in January or early February.
Hansmire says seniors rated in the top 15 at their position by the N-F-L will be eligible for the game.
Dozens of pro scouts are expected be on hand.
Texas-El Paso coach Mike Price will lead the Texas team.
Hansmire says a nationally known coach, who's yet to be named, will lead the national squad.
He says a game date and T-V broadcast schedule should be set by mid-September.[/b]

Well, if all the best seniors played in the game, here is how the Texas team would look (according to my rankings):
QB-Jordan Palmer, UTEP
RB-Courtney Lewis, Texas A&M
FB-Jackie Battle, Houston
WR-Jarrett Hicks, Texas Tech
WR-Johnnie Lee Higgins Jr., UTEP
TE-Neale Tweedie, Texas (not in my rankings, but the best senior TE in Texas)
OT-Justin Blalock, Texas
OT-Herbert Taylor, TCU
OG-Manuel Ramirez, Texas Tech
OG-Kasey Studdard, Texas
C-Kyle Sendlein, Texas
DE-Tim Crowder, Texas
DE-Brian Robinson, Texas
DT-Marquay Love, Houston
DT-Zach West, UTEP
OLB-Justin Warren, Texas A&M
OLB-Jeremy Jones, UTEP
ILB-Troy Collavo, UTEP
CB-Tarrell Brown, Texas
CB-Aaron Ross, Texas
FS-Joe Sturdivant, SMU
SS-Will Gulley, Houston
K-Reagan Schneider, UTEP (see Tweedie)
P-Daniel Sepulveda, Baylor

It's not just college players in Texas, it's players that played high school football in Texas as well. So players like Drew Tate would be playing.
