i wonder how much this will affect his draft status

This guy has all the makings of a beast and looked like a true NFL back and potential top 10 pick

If he can run at the combine, is he still a 1st rounder?

unless peterson declared eligibility then yes he probably would have been. i can see a team taking a chance on him and the espn article also said that he stayed for his senior because someone told him he would not be a 1st round draft pick in the 2006 draft.

This is interesting...he can always redshirt and play next year if the injury doesn't come along well....he hasn't used a redshirt year to date so he woul;dn't have to apply for a 6th year.

Now he'll definitely make it down to the Steelers late in the draft, ala Heath Miller.

Sort of reminds me of the Willis Magahee injury. I was watching the game when it happened. Such a shame, he looked alot quicker than I thought he would be, the real deal.
