That's correct. Great for his character ratings but bad for long term health. Apparently it's pretty painless but if it goes again he's finished.

I said (not on this forum though) that Kolby Smith, Matt Herian, and Buster would breakout this year. I didn't see anybody else with Kolby in the top 15 going into the season, or Herian as the #2 TE, or Buster as a top 3 ILB, my #3 the whole time. I also said that Pauly P would drop a little along with Dwayne.

And, why doesn't SI give any love to Dallas Baker? I was a big Baker doubter going into the season but he has certainly proved me wrong.

Here's what the Vols site says....

Quote:
"We conferred with the doctors and there is no chance for further injury to his arm if he's padded up well. He practiced today and did just about everything there was to do.

"I don't know whether he'll get five snaps or 50 snaps, but he's going to be able to play in this football game. And this is a one-game deal. He has to have the surgery because if it goes longer than a couple of weeks, the muscle starts to atrophy," or shrivel and shrink from disuse.

Head athletic trainer Jason McVeigh said late Wednesday that Harrell, who ruptured his biceps tendon in the third quarter against Air Force, is scheduled for surgery early next week[/b]
I heard that CB Inky Johnson had a real bad injury, like career threatening because he may not have much use of his arm again. Hopefully thast isn't true.

Quote:
McVeigh also reported that Inky Johnson was released from UT Medical Center on Wednesday and is doing well.

The junior defensive back sustained a severe injury to his right upper extremity in Saturday's game. Johnson underwent surgery to repair blood vessels and McVeigh said the UT Sports Medicine Staff continues to monitor his progress. [/b]

I rarely saw anybody else with Buster as a top 3 ILB like I did coming into the season. And, I saw nobody at all with Herian as the #2 senior TE coming into the year. Most didn't even have him top 3.

What ever way you look at it it's meaningless seeing as the moves are so early and it's just opinion rather than backed up on the field. Nail some sleepers that go from late to early rounds then give yourself a pat on the back but early movement doesn't mean a whole lot.

Buster Davis is one big, BAD mother****er. He looks like he's playing on a different level out there. Top instincts and hits like a mack truck
