I think it's safe to say that Russell is now the top QB prospect. Oakland should be a good fit....

Don't jump the gun. I'll admit I was wrong about him and his improvement. But Quinn still will go ahead of him most likely. Brohm might declare, and would also go ahead of him presumeably.

I don't know about all that, but I would think its safe to say that Notre Dame didn't belong in that game and that Russell had a much better team.
That being said, we better be drafting Russell at #3/#4.

Russell was mighty impressive tonight, but it was against Notre Dame's weak D.

People were ready to put Henne in the top 5 after he torched ND, so not sure why it wouldn't apply to Russell as well. But I'll concede that ND did suck pretty bad. Regardless, I think Russell still showed that he is head and shoulders above Quinn as a prospect and as a player. You can judge them by abilities, record, stats, whatever.. Russell is just plain better than him. Now, I know alot of people on the board are partial to Brohm over Russell, so I won't put Russell as the lock #1 QB. But I think it's just a two horse race now.

I was a skeptic of Henne's until he started owning us.

He had a better game than Quinn but I wouldn't say he is the top QB prospect......LSU also has a much better defense than Notre Dame
Russell has a shot at the top spot though...it's not unthinkable...I just don;t think it's the "well he beat Notre Dame so he must be better than Quinn" thinking.

henne was in my top 5 all year....still is.
I will say that while accepting the MVP award and they asked Russell if he would be back he did what few people do "Said I'll go home and talk it over with my family" usually when you hear that type of answer the player declares...didn;t even hide his intention....good for him...so many people try to sugarcoat it or just say "One more year" than do the opposite (See Vince Young and Vernon Davis for last years examples). Russell should come out...no guarentee he is top 5 prospect next year...why risak injury.
