Russell looked pretty good pulling that win out against Tennessee today. He's a good player, but he's still not in the Quinn range. A couple more games like that this season and I'll bet his stock will sky rocket.

I appreciate what you are saying and know that alot of people feel the same. But what exactly has put Quinn into this "elite" category? He puts up good stats against overmatched teams. I can not think of a great game he has had against a good team. Another thing is, he plays the whole game no matter what. I was watching today against North Carolina and he was in the game all the way to the end. It's almost like he is padding his stats. Russell has been pulled out of 6 games early this year cause Lsu had such big leads. I'm just not sold on Quinn, Notre Dame is way overrated and I think he is too. Brian Brohm and Troy Smith are a whole different story (I rank them both slightly ahead of Russell).

I'm not a professional scout brother, I'm not sure exactly what they see to rank these prospects. To me, Quinn looks the most polished out of all the QBs mentioned so far this season. Charlie Weis brought with him the same system (to the best of my knowledge) that he used to help Brady and the Pats win a handful of rings. For Quinn to handle that system and handle it well, to me, puts him ahead of the other top prospects. He already has an understanding (although somehwat basic) of an NFL style offense. He looks poised, and he looks ready to take his game to the next level.

Russell, again this is just my opinion, looks a little more "raw" right now than Quinn. I like his mobility, and I like his athleticism, but his decision making isn't where it needs to be quite yet for me to consider him to be in Quinn's range. If he stayed in school and finished out his Senior year, I think it would be very beneficial to him and his development. If he pulls out another game against a top quality team like Tennessee, on the road no less, I think he would have to come out this year and cash in on the NFL paycheck.

Again though, I'm not a scout. This is just from what I've seen in limited games. I'm sure DJ or Mouse would be better suited to answer these types of questions.

1) Brian Brohm
2) Brady Quinn
3) Troy Smith
4) JaMarcus Russell

That's my list right now and I think it's pretty fair. I still don't think Russell (and Smith, for that matter) are first rounders, but the second round is a very real posibility and the first day is an absolute lock.

Brohm's injury concerns scare the **** out of me. I couldn't justify burning a Top 5/10 pick on a QB with a reconstructed knee. You would already need a top quality line to protect him or every season you would be forced to go about 2-3 games without your franchise QB. He's a solid QB and he looks good commanding his offense...but his injury concerns would make me put him in the "don't draft unless he falls extremely far" list.

Quinn was taken out with nearly six minutes to go...Evan Sharpley threw one incomplete pass then,Handed the ball off to James Aldridge 5 or 6 times...
Now tell me again how was Brady Quinn in until the end padding his stats.?

Quinn will be the first qb drafted because teams know that his skills will be polished since he is being coached by Weis and know he can handle a pro style offense andsmith will be the second qb drafted on pure talent and upside

Yeah I was wrong about Quinn playing the whole game (I was swapping back and forth to the Lsu game at the end), I just never saw the other guy playing. My fault.
