Having Leonard as anything other than #1 is crazy.

He's an oustanding blocker, and an even better runner.[/b]
I hope people saw McClain against Mississippi today. He played a great football game and he took on the best inside linebacker in the nation in Patrick Willis on more than one occasion.

Leonard sure does have a cult following on this message board though.

yep McClain played well, did some great lead blocking for Darby and reeled in that TD in OT to finish the game. I think he's great. I just think Leonard brings more to the table all around. :shrug;

Sure did. He was fantastic other than the dropped TD pass. He looks like a Steelers FB.

BTW, Darby is to low.

Who will be the worse decision maker in the NFL Jamarcus Russell or Aaron Brooks?

Ohh tough call. i pity the team that drafts the "i look great on Paper" Russell.

Yes his decision making is very questionable. However I do not see how that is looking great on paper. His statistics are not why people like him, his rocket arm is why people like him potentially. He has amazing physical potential, he is by no means some Texas Tech QB that puts up meaningless statistics.

WITHOUT TALKING TO EACH PLAYER HOW CAN YOU SAY WHO IS LIKELY TO DECLARE AND WHO ISN'T?

So let me get this right, Jamarcus Russell is going to lead his team to another top 10-15 finish (for the 2nd time) and another major bowl (for the second time), so that he can come back and do it again. What exactly would that prove? I just don't get why he would come back. Please explain what more he can do. Lsu is not a wide open passing offense. He will never put up 3,000 yards or 30 tds. He has only played into the 4th quarter 3 out of 8 games this year cause Lsu had such big leads. He is in top 5 in passer ratings, so his numbers are right where they should be. If he comes back next year it would just be statistically about the same year with maybe the team winning an extra game or two. So why would he do it? He is a top 3 QB, you even had him rated as much earlier in this post. Coming back doesn't make sense.

on a side note... I know he is leaving. He has indicated as much to people here around town. Pretty much common knowledge.

He is a redshirt Junior, so he is in his 4th year and close to graduating. I don't really see that as a good reason to stay. You can go to school anytime and get your education. Especially in a sport as violent as football, where your career can end at any time, just doesn't seem prudent to wait.
