I like Demps a lot. He could be a 1st day pick next year, I doubt he comes out this season. He could though seeing UTEP loses Palmer and Higgins and won't be projected to be that good next year (I thought they would go undeafted this season...)

Better RB situation, more experienced, deeper offensive line, a new QB... we have Fred Rouse coming in next year. But yeah, everyone had high expectations this year for UTEP. LAck of experience on the offensive line, an inconsistent QB, and a bad defense was too much to overcome. We lost Jeremy Jones early in the season, so that took away one of the few playmakers we actually had defensively. Demps won't come out early... of course unless he is somehow told he can get picked 1st day. I doubt that though.

UTEP got their asses whooped on Saturday... but they have Memphis next week in El Paso. They win that game, they become bowl eligible. They might not get one though.
