I was hearing about this guy a couple weeks ago as a possible second-day draftee for the Browns as a project QB. While the Huskies' record is less than desirable they do play in a rather good Pac-10, and took Cal and ASU to OT.

I know he's a dual-threat guy, ideal size etc, but what about things like arm strength and accuracy? Decision making? What kind of stock will he end up holding, 4-5th round or 6-7th? I want to know about this kid- Charlie's looking a little gunshy (playcalling/ol still doesn't help) and the overall QB talent sucks *** on this team.

Fellow Browns fans- No, I'm not throwing Charlie under the bus, but I think we'd be well-suited to boot Anderson and Dorsey, and replace them with a vet and a project youngin'. Chew on this- Anderson has taken exactly one snap, and Dorsey is already a failed starter. Sixth and seventh rounders respectively.

He has great tools but isn't ready to play and needs a lot of coaching. He'd be a great day 2 project for anyone but his injury could damage his prospects depending on when he recovers.

He has pretty good arm strength but not great accuracy. He is ridiculously athletic, which might entice scouts, especially if he puts up a 4.4 at the combine, which is entirely possible. One big difference between him and other super fast qbs like vick and wallace is that he does have real good size. He also is a good leader. Coming into this season i thought he would only get a look as a WR, but i think he showed alot of people what he can do as a QB this year.

I watch the Huskies every now and then, and he looks like a poor decision maker. But then again he's the only good player on the team so that might have something to do with his play. I think I would not want him to by my NFL team's quarterback.

Probably a 5th-6th rounder. I don't think he will succeed in the NFL. He seems like a pretty cool guy though.

The only QB Id like to see on the Browns (out of Charlie) is Russel. Im not sure about Stanback, didnt watch a single Washington game this year, but we need a QB who can escape from the pressure that our horrid O-line let go.

We need a mobile QB with good arm strenght and accuracy (ala CHARLIE FRYE), thats for sure. Oh, and also a tough one who can take a lot of hits.

Russell is a franchise QB. That's exactly why I don't want him.

Charlie Frye is our QB. And I like it like that.

I have followed this kid since he played at Garfield H.S. (on 23rd ave across from Ezel's famouse Chicken) he was set for greatness when slick Rick recruited him and Nate Robinson (yes that Nate Robinson). Unfortunatly his development was hampered by a lack of coaching with all the turmoil at UW during his time. Only after the recent arivial of Ty Willingham was he taught how to break down game tape, before that he was thrown the playbook and told to play then, got pulled and put back in again. He is kind of a soft spoken kid, real humble and you can see that he wants to do well and he is a team guy. Stanbeck is also a burner, I think I heard he runs a 10.9 in the 100 meter dash for UW track. His arm is as strong as anybody's his accuracy actualy seems to improve when he takes off and his release is what is most impressive, real snappy and it comes out high. I think he has not used his mobility to its full potential, coach Willingham actualy had to tell him to run around more. With all that I'm not sure if he has "it" for the next level he would be a project like Adrian McPhearson, only without all the baggage.

Agreed, he ran alot less then he could have, which of course the NFL might like. I remember him getting 5th in the 100m of the Pac-10 championship, i think somewhere arounf 10.5 sec. I think he will get drafted in the later rounds, but many teams will be tempted to take him as a reciever project, i hope he gets a shot as a QB.
