Micheal Vick is the same exact height of Troy Smith... You know where he went in the draft... Number one overall... That is where... Troy Smith should be a first round pick if a team needs a quaterback... He will probably be the third or fourth off of the board... It depends if Brian Braum comes out or not... Brady Quinn will obvioulsy be the first one taken... Other than that Troy Smith should have a very good shot of making a first round choice for a team...

Brian Brohm is staying for his senior season and Jamarcus Russell will most likely be taken before Troy Smith.

If you are comparing Troy Smith and Vince Young, you don't start at height... Height is some advantage, but believe me... it's not everything. Young is 'big' because of his frame and the weight that comes with that. Troy Smith, IMO, is just mobile. Troy Smith is a good enough passer to be drafted in the top 15. Or Detroit might 'take a chance'. The fact is, Troy Smith has improved every year and will keep improving. Once he gets better at going through his progression and keeping that pass-first mentality, he will be a great NFL QB.

There were soooooooo many Vince Young haters before that National Title game year, when he and his team beat a USC team of Dynasty proportions, which also listed two Heisman winners on their roster that day. Troy Smith still has a game to play to prove what he really can do against a very talented defense. This is an oppertunity. But we're a long way from the draft. The NFL Combine is very important to draft status as well. We'll see.

JaMarcus Russell, although having the size and the powerful arm, will not go over the Heisman-winner. Russell has not been consistent enough to pass Troy Smith, IMO. And this is coming from a die-hard SEC fan. Troy Smith is the real deal, and obviously it remains to be seen.

This is exactly why Russell will get drafted ahead of Smith, and it happens all the time.
