-Only thing about the Lions pick I have to say is something in the reasoning. Josh McCown isn't the future at Quarterback because he isn't a Quarterback anymore. I haven't seen any Lions game since the versus the Patriots, but in that one he got a lot of reps and caught his first two career passes.
-Brian Brohm is staying. It's not a guarntee, but it's pretty safe to say take him out of 2007 Mocks and Rankings. Also, Al Davis would never be able to resist JaMarcus Russell if he were to take a QB.
-Wide Receiver isn't the Bucs biggest need. Gaines Adams would be such a big help if Simms is able to came back healthy next year and play well. Bruce was good for a 2nd day rookie, but that's nothing special overall. QB was the reason the Bucs offense faltered this year. They can get a big play/speedy WR in the 2nd or 3rd Round in a Johnnie Lee Higgins Jr.
-Great Cardinals pick, I don't see how they can't go OT.
-Why would the Texans pass on Adrian Peterson? Domanick Davis can't stay healthy, Wali Lundy as an above average NFL RB. I understand Calvin, but AP would be much more logical.
-Reggie Nelson could play CB, but he is more of a Free Safety (the next Brian Dawkins). I don't know why the 'Skins wouldn't just draft a great CB like Leon Hall instead of trying to move Nelson around.
-Good position pick for Cleveland, but Okam isn't the best DT in this draft. Alan Branch is a freak and clearly the best DT and could play 3-4 NT or even DE (both needs in Cleveland).
-I think LaRon Landry would help the Rams more, but Gaines is a good pick. Victor has a lot of potential though and it's pretty clear they like him. Like I said, Gaines is a good pick, but I doubt they would go DE.
-Great 49ers and Packers picks. I just have no idea how you have AP falling to 10th.
-If you watched the Vikings-Jets game this past week, you'd know that Tarvaris Jackson and Troy Williamson have obvious chemistry and will develop into a great tandem. However, I still like the Jarrett pick because they need somebody opposite of Williamson.
-I doubt the Panthers would pass on JaMarcus Russell. They have no QB for the future. Pauly P is a good pick, but you can't win without a QB...
-Great Dolphins pick.
-Great Steelers pick in terms of position. I doubt Hughes goes top 15 though...
-Great Bills, Titans, and Falcons picks in terms of position. I doubt Long changes his mind though because if he, Henne, and Hart stay, this team will be a favorite win the National Championship next year. Meriweather has 17th overall talent, but his character concerns are going to cause teams to back off. Early 2nd Rounder
-CB is a good pick for the Jets, too bad you have them taking somebody who doesn't even start for a WAC Team...
Vilma needs some help in the LB Core for the new 3-4 scheme, so Patrick Willis or LaMarr Woodley would be nice additions.
-Aaron Rouse to the Eagles makes sense, but not for the reason you mentioned. Brain Dawkins is a Free Safety, Aaron Rouse is a Strong Safety. Michael Lewis struggled while he play and Sean Considene is nothing special. Rouse could start for that team at Strong Safety, but not Free Safety.
-Great Chiefs through Patriots (28th) picks. Too bad Sam Baker is staying, and Marshawn and Leon won't fall that far. And, on your Chiefs explaination, you talk about the Falcons. Also, Baker is known for his pass blocking, not run blocking.
O, and I agree with you on Cason
-Adalius Thomas might cost too much for the Ravens to kepp. Drafting a versatile player like LaMarr Woodley to replace him would make a lot of sense as well. But, Jamal isn't producing because the O-Line has played below average. Kyle Boller looked good yesterday, otherwise I'd be saying JaMarcus Russell or Troy Smith here.
-If Buster stays at ILB, then 5-10 is acutally a great height for him. He is so strong in his upper body and lower body, has so much quickness, athletic ability, and speed, and tackles very well. Being short and having that much strength (and distrubed very well) allows him to explode into his tackles much better which he does. He has a bright future in the NFL. At best, he's the next Zach Thomas. Worse, I'd say Robert McCune (both have similar measurables).
-Harris isn't a First Rounder anymore. Levi Brown would be a great fit.
-Great Chargers pick.
Just wondering where a few guys are that I believe are at least fringe 1st Rounders. Here they are:
QB JaMarcus Russell-LSU*
TE Zach Miller-Arizona State*
OT Levi Brown-Penn State
DE Charles Johnson-Georgia*
DE/OLB LaMarr Woodley-Michigan
DT Quinn Pitcock-Ohio State
CB Darrelle Revis-Pittsburgh*
SS/FS Michael Griffin-Texas
Just some reasoing on why you don't have them as 1st Rounders would be nice.
