ya i think #2 is good for the lions, they will likely get who they wanted anyways (i would give them thomas) and they dont have to pay him as much as a #1 pick

Don't count out Adrian Peterson to the Raiders.......

Oakland is one of the most unpredictable teams on draft day and they had problems establishing a power running game this season. With more and more teams using two-back offenses it could be possible that Oakland at least considers Peterson....I don;t think it's the most likely choice but if the Raiders made it I wouldn't be shocked.

You guys sure do have a bunch of needs on offense and I'm saying this as your hated rival but do yourselves a favor if you trade down and stay away from A.D.
He's a bust in the making.

I'm a huge OU fan but I have never liked this kids game being projected further than college. Sure he's fast and Flashy but he does not have the ability to make people miss and he gets hit way too hard too often.
His upright running style without the ability to make the first tackler miss has dissaster written all over it. A good RB makes his own room to maneuver by making a cut , making the tackler miss and getting into the secondary. Without a big hole A.D. just does not do this enough and it will spell dissaster in the NFL.
Marshawn Lynch will be a much better NFL RB you just watch.
Did you see A.D. last night?

That's what's going to happen to him in the Pros. **** that was BSU he got hammered by not the AFC west.

I'd hate to see you guys get an offense to go along with that D of yours but A.D. is not the answer if you trade down.

Calvin Johnson to the Raiders #1 overall?

DJ, what are the chances that the top 3 picks will be Quinn, Thomas, and Johnson?

He doesn't have the ability to make people miss? Watch a game you alleged "fan". He makes more people miss than you think. It's rather difficult to make everyone miss when there are 8 in the box. Yes I saw AD last night, that last run he had was the only one all night when the o-line got any push off. But that's AD's fault right? Lynch will be a great NFL RB, but calling AD a bust is just idiotic.

I think that the Raiders will draft Calvin Johnson at #1 overall and Troy Smith with the first pick in the 2nd round (or send Moss and some pick(s) to Atlanta for Schuab if Smith's taken before they pick again). They could also trade the top pick and snag Jarrett with their new top pick and secure Smith/Schuab as detailed above. They can address OL later in the draft (the OT class is VERY deep and OG/C tend to drop into the later rounds anyway) or via FA (not sure who's out there or if they have much money to spend, but trading Moss/Porter will help) and be a much better team in both the short and long term. I can already see the 2007 media guide with a picture of CJ and TS/MS on the cover below a headline boldly stating "The Future is Now", can't you?

Well Johnson depends on what we can do with Moss and Porter... if we are able to get a 2-3 for Porter and maybe a mid to late 1st for Moss then i think Johnson will be tossed into frey with Quinn and Peterson.. but seeing that we have Curry, Morant and Now Doug Gabriel back i dont think its a big need right now..

I really hope we trade down a few spots to set ourselves up for a great draft this year & next year we got a lot of holes to fill and we're gonna need extra picks. I'm hoping we can get either a Peterson/Smith...Lynch/Smtih...Johnson/Smith combo in the first two rounds so we can really start building something on offense
