I really, really hope that the Raiders (my most hated team) don't take my boy Jamarcus.

I really hope we trade down a few spots to set ourselves up for a great draft this year & next year we got a lot of holes to fill and we're gonna need extra picks. I'm hoping we can get either a Peterson/Smith...Lynch/Smtih...Johnson/Smith combo in the first two rounds so we can really start building something on offense

Another year of Brooks/Walter??????

Ok I'm sure that Millen and the Lions have learned their lesson, but what are the odds that the Lions pick Calvin Johnson #2?

Prolly Russell #1 or CJ. Since their's no WR's at the end of the 1st round that the Raiders could trade up to get, they would most likely take Johnson, then send Moss for a second rounder or Porter for a late second or early third, and package either with their own second rounder for a late-mid or late first rounder. They'd probably have to add more if they do the Porter trade. If they are content with the guys they have right now, then they can go with Russell, but in my opinion they need to find a suitor for Porter for a 3rd, trade Moss for a second, and package their own along with those two picks for a comfortable mid 1st rounder in which they could almost assuredly get Smith. Maybe the Pats would do it, in which case maybe a 4th rounder would be better 2 give them instead of the 3rd. The Pats would still have a late pick, and they could build more at the corner and safety positions, and get the next young players to lead the franchise. Here is my Raiders and Lions 1st round summed up right now:
Raiders #1: Calvin Johnson
Raiders Mid-1st rounder: Troy Smith
Lions #2: Brady Quinn
I don't like Quinn that much, b/c he never does that well in big games, and he's still never won a game against a team finishing in the top 25 at the end of the season, unless somethin happens 2 georgia tech. i haven't been watching them closely, but even that game they didn't earn the win. If Brian Brohm were to enter, he would be the undoubted pick by me for the Lions, but he isn't i heard somewhere. Thomas would be a great pick, and so would gaines adams if they were to trade down a little. The offensive line sucks reall bad tho so they'll proly go there.

I'm sure whoever the Raiders select as head coach (since Shell got fired today) will make it his first priority to smooth out the situation between the club and Moss/Porter. He would have to know and stress to both receivers that the club can't get market value for them, so they won't be traded. That would give Oakland that scary 3some they should have had last year, which means they shouldn't need a WR early in the draft. Oakland has to go QB. I just don't see a way around it. They have young O-linemen and can't afford to bust with another one (especially at the first pick). I'm also of the opinion that you never take a RB too early, plus I just don't see any RB worthy of a top 5 yet.

16. This will be a good judge of Ted Thompson in a tricky draft spot.

I really think we need a RB or TE here, UNLESS a player with fantastic ability somehow falls this far and we take him just because he's too good to pass up. IDK if there's really any good TE's in this draft though?? Or maybe will pick one up in FA. I'm thinkin it's gonna either be Lynch or we trade down for more picks... a couple more 2 rounders would be nice!
