Entering the NFL Draft may not be an option for stud wide receiver Calvin Johnson. His family is pushing for him to stay in school as they stress academics but the writers across the country arepushing for him go for the pot at the end of the rainbow. The truth is that Johnson hasn't really touched on this subject and with the latest revelations on his family, I am starting to think Calvin Johnson will return for his senior season. Georgia Tech's new quarterback, Taylor Bennett is the opposite of Reggie Ball. Bennett has a great arm and great accuracy but didn't start for some unknown reason until Ball got into a little bit of trouble. Did I mention that Bennett is a good friend of Calvin Johnson, this is just another reason for Johnson to stay in school as the Yellow Jackets could make an even bigger push in the vulnerable ACC. All signs are pointing to Johnson staying in school. Good for him, bad for the 2007 NFL Draft. I am not expecting Johnson to declare by January 15th.

Id rather fall to the 4th or 5th pick than go to the Raiders, even at 1.

It is rare I question an athlete decidding to stay in school but this one would leave me puzzled.

That being said I want to see more of Bennett at QB...he looked great in their Bowl game and up until that point I had seen very little of him. Why Georgia Tech didn't play him I wouldn't know especially since I have Ball ranked as a running back for the draft anyway...why not allow him to get some reps there and show the NFL what he's got.

Johnson has been my #1 prospect all year...if he stays he will duke it out for #1 in the 2008 class which right now would be a three-horse race

Calvin Johnson WR Georgia Tech....and a pair of underclassmen for 2008.....

Darren McFadden RB Arkansas
Jared Gaither OT Maryland

Bennett did look great but that was against WVU's defense which is an absolute joke... But yeah regardless, he is better than Ball and it's unreal that Ball wasn't pulled for him at any point during the season...
