Its DJ's draft but i just want to throw this out there. Instead of giving 12 hours per pick, which means about 40 days of picking, why not do it this way.
Than, we can rest overnight. This way, we get through twice as many picks every day and at the same time, the GM's dont have to check in every hour to see if they are up. All they have to do is check the board in the morning, before they go to work/class/etc. That way they know what time their pick is due and can check in during their slot to make their pick. Also, if someone picks early, lets say Detroit picks at 1:00, than Cleveland will be able to pick, but their deadline is still 8:00. Lets say Tampa picks at 9:00PM, and than the next 3 GM's make their picks that night, than we would start with whoever is next the following morning.
Thats just a suggestion. It takes a bit more work from the director but it would allow us to get through the draft much faster. One thing I've noticed is that if we take a long time in going through the draft, than people will start dropping out and forgetting their pick is due.
Also, DJ. What do you want to do about the Eagles 3rd round pick? If we resign Stallworth, which we probably will, it belongs to New Orleans and we keep our 4th. If we dont resign him we keep the 3rd and they get our 4th. For this draft, do you want to assume we resign STallworth or not?
Also, wouldnt it be better if we did allow player trades, if reasonable? I know SF's GM already said he wants to try and trade Kwame Harris, which is realistic, and I want to try and trade Darwin Walker too.

is there a reason you always type "than" when you should type "then?"

Start talking. I have the 3rd overall pick (Tre and I agreed that he got it last time, I get it this time) and am open to good offers. Gonna take a lot, though, with not much after the top 3 in terms of stardom.

Agreed.
And I'll just say now, I'm open to any and all trade options. I'd like to stay in the top 10, but the 49ers at 11 is a move I'd strongly consider. I'd be basing the pick off the value chart though, so to move up from 11th to 4th would equal exactly your 1st, 2nd, and 4th rounders for this year. If you were willing to throw that offer on the table, I'll tell you right now I'd consider it.
Here's the value chart. You can find copies anywhere though.
Players available from the Bucs for trade:
Simeon Rice, DE
Brian Kelly, CB
Rice is in the final year of his contract and Kelly has openly stated he doesn't want to return unless given more money. Kelly hasn't said he'd hold out, but his return for next season is unlikely.

I'll do that trade or throw in Kwame Harris and Derek Smith and take the 2nd rounder out of it. You guys could use Harris.
Not to sound like an ******* or anything, but theres not way the 49ers trade Derek Smith. He's the leader of that defense and is their best LB. If they are going to trade a LB, it would be Jeff Ulbrich who lost his starting spot this year to brandon Moore. Again, not trying to be an *** or anything, just throwing that out there.
Also, we havent heard from DJ in a while. Is he cool with the players we've posted and who is the trade approval group?
