People are bashing this guy in other threads, but I completely disagree. He's underrated because he's been overshadowed by the members of ND's passing attack, but he was the only one that played well against LSU. Fact is, if you can run on those guys, you can flat out run the ball. I guess he's more of a mid-rounder, but he could be a steal down there.

DUMB MOVE, HE'S NOT MUCH MORE THEN A 3RD DOWN BACK IN THE NFL. I GUESS THE SAME THING WOULD HAVE BEEN SAID ABOUT HIM NEXT YEAR THOUGH TOO.

My guess is he will run a Clarett-like time at the combine. 6-7th round pick, unless of course he gives Shanahann a hand job, then he will be drafted by Denver in the 2nd round.

You guys are seriously underrating this guy. He hasn't gotten a ton of carries because of the players we had in the passing attack but he is a solid runner. Good blocker, excellent hands. He's coming out because every other Notre Dame offensive starter is in the draft this year. He could be a steal in the 3rd round. I hope the Giants take him there

I'd take him in the 4th or 5th. I'd put him 3rd on the depth chart and let him try to beat out Pittman for our backup spot.

Is anyone looking at this guy as a feature back?

What's the deal with picking on Darius Walker and the Denver Broncos here??? Walker is a top 10 RB in this draft class, so he's getting picked by someone. I'd say he goes early in Day 2 to a team that's interested in a 3rd down back.

Walker's got good all around skills, but let's be honest- he doesn't have breakaway speed and he doesn't run with alot of power (ie, he doesn't get much yards after contact or break tackles). It's hard to get too hyped on a guy at the NFL level who's two biggest weaknesses are 2 pretty important qualities for an NFL back.

NO ONE IS UNDERRATING HIM, JUST TELLING IT LIKE IT IS. HE WON'T BE ANYTHING MORE THEN A 3RD DOWN BACK, BUT HE SHOULD BE A GOOD ONE IN THAT ROLE. HE'S DECISION TO LEAVE HAS MORE TO DO WITH THE OTHER PLAYERS AROUND HIM LEAVING THEN HIS TALENT.
