Default Texans pick

What should the Texans do with their first pick?

Options:

Reggie Bush

Vince Young

Matt Lienert

Trade Down

Who cares they are the friggian Texan

I vote for them to trade down

From a football standpoint, they need to trade down. From a business standpoint, they need to take Bush. I think they will take him. Let's see if they can get an OL in FA now.. Their success will entirely depend on that.

I agree totally with that and mainly with what they do when free agency opens.

They'll take Bush IMO. But if I were the Texans, I'd trade Carr for some players or draft picks and draft the hometown hero Vince Young to appease the Houston fans and put butts in seats. But since they extended his contract three more years it looks like Kubiak wants Carr to stay.

Just because they resigned him doesn't necessairly mean that they are giving him the starting job next year. He can still be traded, but they had to resign him to prevent him from going on the free agent market. This way they keep their options open both ways, instead of having to choose a quarterback in the draft.

Personally, I think they should draft Reggie Bush, but I say that depending on what exactly they can get in return for the pick. I would be willing to trade the pick, if I got back a top 10 pick, and a significant player or draft pick. Reggie Bush is a very talented player, but I don't think he is better than say a #4 pick and Abraham, and I would consider that very strongly...

Very true, and by all signs Abraham is gone, they just can't pay him and he's about their only leverage at this point so that trade is a strong possibility IMO. It fills spots, you get a high quality DE and drop back 3 spots where you are still in great shape.
