Also, I'm not sure Zach Miller can be drafted by both the Jets and the Bears.
Branch falls that far? I would hope we might take a look at him if he made it to us, him or Landry, I just don't like the idea of Ginn at 7 personally.

Viking fans:
Is there a growing consensus that the Vikings' needs at WR would be served OK by drafting a WR in Round 2 rather than Round 1? If so, what position do you feel needs to be addressed in Round 1? DE? S? Somewhere else? Right now, I'm not sure what to think.

Looking at our situation, I highly doubt we turn things around immediately next season, so why reach for a WR this year, when we could take BPA at seven and build through this year? Can anyone honestly say that any WR not named Calvin Johnson is worth the 7th pick? Ginn, Meachem, Jarret, Rice, Bowe? Like I said, I don't want to reach again like we did with Williamson, and I don't see us taking WR in the first unless CJ falls (haha) or we find a trade partner and move down.
IMO, we should be looking at Landry, not Adams or Anderson, but that's just personal preference, I would like to see us get a good young safety rather than another 1st round DE.

I'm hearing..
Quinn, Landry, Adams, Trade up for Johnson, or Trade down for BWRA.
I dont think a WR is an option at 7, the 2nd tier WRs arent worth top 10 picks, and I think they realize that.

Quinn is another on my 'No List' I'm hoping all that talk of us looking at him is smoke, if it isn't, says a lot about what they think of Tarvaris and the 2 3rd's we gave up to get him doesn't it
Out of curiosity, just how much would it cost to trade up with say the Lions or Browns? 1st, 2nd and something next year?

Meachem would be worth it. If he's your guy trade down though ...

Yeah, I wouldn't mind a trade down, get an extra pick or 2 and still get someone who could help out this season, but I wouldn't really expect it tbh, unless someone was really desperate for Landry or whichever DE was still there, I can't see much else being there at our pick.
I would expect Thomas, Peterson, CJ, one of the QB's and probably Anderson to go before us definitely, that would leave players like Branch, Adams, Landry and whoever didn't go out of Russel or Quinn left at 7, would anyone be really interested to give up 2 firsts or a first and a second to move up for one of those guys?
