Oakland Raiders 1. JaMarcus Russel 33. Justin Blalock 65. Marcus Thomas
The Raiders need a big arm to run the offense Al Davis likes and they need to put a O-line together that will keep that big arm upright. And Marcus Thomas is a talent and Al Davis isn't one to shy away from "character" risks and DT is a position of need.
Minnesota Vikings 2. Calvin Johnson 72. David Irons
The Suprise of the draft. The Vikings aren't in the market for a QB because it is to early to give up on T. Jackson but they do need a #1 WR in the baddest way and Johnson is said to be everything Moss was without the headaches. And Irons should be what they were hoping Smooth would be an in your face corner who makes plays
Cleveland Browns 3. Brady Quinn 36. Stewart Bradley 67. Ryan Harris
C. Frye isn't the answer and the hometown hero will bring a fan base with him. Willie isn't getting any younger and Bradeley brings very comparable size and speed with him. Harris wouldn't start on the first day of camp but with his talents he will upgrade the edges soon enough
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 4. Gaines Adams 35. DeMarcus Tyler 68. Dallas Baker
They have gutted their once "great" D-line with in the three years they've lost Sapp, McFarland, White, and it is likely Rice will be gone as well so they need to replinish. And Clayton had a great rookie season but he has put up numbers since and Baker can challenge for his job and he is already an upgrade over Hillard
Arizona Cardinals 5. Joe Thomas 38. Charles Johnson 69. Josh Wilson
It is well noted how much they want to upgrade their O-line. And opposite A. Rolle and upgrade would be welcomed. And an upgrade along the D-line is needed. I figure G. Watson will be better this year so that takes care of the inside but who will help out along the edges.
Washington Redskins 6. Jamaal Anderson
It is pretty much a foregone thought that they will take the top DE so I'm not going to think about it.
Detriot Lions 7. Patrick Willis 34. Marcus McCauley 41. Jason Hill 66. Drew Stanton
They get a first and second this year and a first and fourth next year. They get a running mate for E. Sims they replace Bly they get a WR to complement R. Williams and they get and understudy for Kitna. They pass on both Quinn and C. Johnson because of past drafts and the fear of criticism about another possible Harrington or another WR in the first round with C. Rogers gone and M. Williams on his way out.
Atlanta Falcons 8. Leon Hall 39. Quentin Moses 44. Arron Sears 75. Justin Durant
I know many people think Landry is the pick but I still believe Hall is the player they need. Kerney is gone so Moses is a safe pick. Did Gandy Block anybody last year. The Edge has been cut so they need to add talent to an aging LBing core
Miami Dolphins 9. Amobi Okoye 40. Ryan Kalil 60. Anthony Spencer 71. Paul Williams
They need to upgrade both lines and ironically enough they get the top rated players at both DT and C as well as a pass rusher to play opposite Taylor. Williams is everything you want in a WR physically and they need a player to replace Wes
Houston Texans 10. Levi Brown 73. Aundrae Allison
Offense, offense, offense. They need to create an O-line that will protect Schaub as well as create holes for Green and they need a WR that will help out A. Johnson
San Fransico 49ers 11. Dewayne Jarret 42. David Harris 76. Daymeion Hughes
They need a #1 WR an ILB and a CB and all of these players came into the offseason with very high grades. At the start of the process it wouldn't have been farfetched to find all three of these players in the first round of many mock drafts
Buffalo Bills 12. Adrian Peterson 43. Buster Davis 74. James Marten 92. Fred Bennet
With the departures of Willis McGahee, London Flecther, and Nate Clements they need replinishment. And OT was a troublesome spot before all of the departures. I know Peterson won't last this long but I don't know who would trade up and until know there has been talent at need positions for the above teams.
St. Louis Rams 13. Laron Landry 52. Eric Wright 82. Zak DeOssie
Suring up the back end of their defense is a priority and with the addition of Landry and Wright they do just that. Zak DeOssie can play inside or out so he should help sure up a leaky LBing Core
Carolina Panthers 14. Alan Branch 45. Ben Patrick 83. H.B. Blades
There D-line has been on the decline mostly because the inside lineman aren't dominating anymore and Branch certainly brings talent. Patrick is a better fit than Olsen since I believe he is a better in run blocking. And it is known they can't depend on Morgan to man the middle of their defense any longer.
Pittsburgh Steelers 15. Paul Posluszny 46. Eric Weddle 77. Tim Crowder
Both Posluszny and Crowder can play in any scheme and Weddle ability to play both CB and either S will help them camoflage any coverage and/or blitz
Green Bay Packers 16. Marshawn Lynch 47. Craig Davis 78. Scott Chandler
With the departure of Green they need a viable option at RB and even though they have decent RBs the need a big play threat. And they need to upgrade WR as well as replace Bubba Franks
Jacksonville Jaguars 17. Jarvis Moss 48. Anthony Gonzalez 79. Sabby Piscitelli
They continue to keep the heart of their defense talented by adding a pass rusher to go along with the beast in the middle. Another year another WR only this time he isn't 6'4 and they need to replace Deon Grant.
Cincinnati Bengals 18. Reggie Nelson 49. Rufus Alexander
They replace Kevin K. and add a LB to a thinning LBing core
Tennessee Titans 19. Ted Ginn Jr. 50. Tanard Jackson 80. Tony Hunt
They need to replace Bennet at WR and Pacman can't stay out of trouble so a CB is needed on the first day. With both Brown and Henry leaving they need to add a RB to play with White.
New York Giants 20. Jon Beason 51. Antonio Pittman 81. Jonathan Wade
With Arrington being a disappointment and Barber retiring it isn't a suprise to see the top two picks being a LBer and RB. Wade brings reinforcements to the CB position because the free agents they've add the last couple of years are closer to the end of a career than a beginning.
Denver Broncos 21. Joe Staley 56. Earl Everett 70. Ray McDonald 86. Marshal Yanda
They've replaced Bell but they have yet to replace Foster and Everett is capable of playing inside or out and I don't think Wilson will be their much longer. McDonald is also versatile enough to play either DT or DE.
Dallas Cowboys 22. Michael Griffin 53. Steve Smith 87. Andy Alleman
Roy Williams is a beast but they need someone who can play center field and that is Williams. Glenn and Owens both won't be their past this year and their O-line needs young talent
Kansas City Chiefs 23. Robert Meachem 54. Justin Harrell 84. Aaron Rouse
They still need a #1 type WR as well as a DT who can dominate. And with the release of Knight recently the need to upgrade S
New England Patriots 24. DeWayne Bowe 28. Aaron Ross 91. Brian Robinson
Even with the additions a WR I wouldn't have them pass on the top player on their board and I know I saw Brown in spot duty at CB which means they still need to find an upgrade. And Robinson is a ideal fit at 3-4 OLB
New York Jets 25. Greg Olsen 59. Brian Leonard 63. Victor Abiamiri 89. Kenny Scott
A pass catching TE a RB/FB hybrid a pass rushing DE and a CB who can play the slot WR. This is a good day to be a Jet fan.
Philadelphia Eagles 26. Lawrence Timmons 57. Sidney Rice 90. Trent Edwards
Their defense isn't what it once was because their LBers aren't as talented as they used to be and even with him not being a workout warrior he is a football player. With the departure of Stallworth they need an upgrade at WR and lucky for them Rice slips. And McNabb has been able to finish seasons routinely so a capable back-up is need and you never know they might be able to get a Schaub type deal down the line.
New Orleans Saints 27. Chris Houston 58. Brandon Siler 88. Matt Spaeth
They get upgrades at both CB and LB with football players who turned out to be workout warriors as well. And with the departure of Conwell they need a long term answer at TE and Johnson only got a 1 year deal
Baltimore Ravens 29. Adam Carriker 61. Tony Ugoh
They get a DE who will be excellent on the edge of a 3-4. And with Pashos leaving they need a young talented OT to either groom to replace Ogden or just stick him on the right side
San Diego Chargers 30. Darrell Revis 62. Anthony Waters 93. Darius Walker
With Revis they can move Jammer to safety and Waters can replace Godfrey. And I don't believe Turner will be on the team past this year if that long.
Chicago Bears 31. Ben Grubbs 37. Zach Miller 94. John Wendling
They need to get lineman who will allow them to play the power running game they like and Grubbs can open holes. And Grossman will be 10 times better with a TE who can get up the seams. And with the way their safties play the need capable backups
Indianapolis Colts 32. Tim Shaw 95. Tarrel Brown
They have to replace C. June and N. Harper and they covet speed in the Tampa 2 and that is exactly what these two playeres provide.
Seattle Seahawks 55. Josh Beekman 85. Joe Newton
They didn't get Dielman so they have to find a player in the draft to fill the hole a guard that was obviously their all last year. And someone anyone needs to come in and replace Stevens

ravens haven't played a 3-4 in years. dunno where carriker would fit on our defense. i'm sure we'd make it work, though.

All 3 picks for the chargers are horrible
Jammer isnt moving to S anytime soon and CB isnt even a minor need, let alone a 1st round need
Walker wouldnt fit this team, sure we would need a backup RB, but not a smaller guy. Micheal Bush would be a perfect 3rd rounder for us

Timmons is much more undersized than Beason. And Drougens isn't the answer
Carriker is versatile to play DE/DT in a 4-3 but I think the ravens will play a hybrid type 3-4/4-3 with a lot of moving parts on defense. With Carriker on one side you could easily slide the line and allow Suggs to take his hand off the ground.
Who is going to play Safety for you? And Bush is injuried, it would be different if he was hurt but the fact that he needs additional surgery isn't good. And Walker style of running is very similar to Turners'

I still don't see AP passing our #10 spot and us either passing him or not getting a a third round pick for someone to trade up for him.

It's a bit early for Shaw, but I can understand the logic of taking an athletic LB.
We don't need CB nearly that early though though. Over the past few years, we've drafted Jackson, Hayden, and Jennings in the first 2 rounds, and Jason David is a solid starter. I'd like to see us go WR or somewhere else with that pick.
