I wonder how far Rice will fall now
I mean teams already had questions about his speed and now he refuses to run.
2nd round? 3rd round?

Rice already ran at the combine so this really doesn't hurt him at all. He can stand on his time like others stand on their times in other drills. No big deal if you ask me.
He's already a low second rounder at worst.

From TSN
Quote:
USC's other receiver prospect, Steve Smith, performed well at the Combine and thus did not need to do any of the timing drills Wednesday. Smith, however, did go through all the receiver drills and was impressive. He was quick, showing a good burst and running good routes, and he caught the ball well. With Smith's strong performance, we believe he has passed Jarrett on most NFL teams' draft boards and will be selected ahead of the more ballyhooed Jarrett.

rice ripped chris houstons dick off and houston is considered a top 20 pick i believe..rice will be fine. probably a late 1st round pick at worst IMO

he would be extremely stupid to run the 40 again after running a 4.44 at the combine

Rice is a 2nd rounder and has been for a while. Him refusing to run just ensures that

Of all the top rated WR's that Houston played against Sidney Rice did the best against him. I think in a couple years Rice will the second best WR in this draft behind C.J.

Rice murderized Houston. Houston shut down just about everyone else last year.

i dont know about "average time". everyone expected him to run a high 4.7 or even a 4.8. he ran a 4.6 (flat). now a 4.6 in general would be average for a WR..but for jarrett its a pretty good time. very nice broad jump and his short shuttle time was exceptional ("a lot" faster than meachem, rice and bowe). his vertical is also very solid. his 7.28 3-cone drill on the other hand sucks though...still, he had a great workout

Wow...if someone had asked me who'd win in a footrace between David Ball and Dwayne Jarrett before this offseason, I wouldn't have thought it could be a serious question
