That's VDavis. Better learn to get it right, whatever name of the week you pick for yourself.
When a QB has a WR to throw to, along with a running game, that helps the team score. How many times did we lack a WR to score by, or missed out on opportunity to score? You want to get Willis and think he has opportunity but might turn into J Peterson and abandon the team 5 years later, then fine, we'll get him. I still say if we have 43 in round 2, all the good WRs will be long gone.

I hope we can atleast get Branch or Willis, I am not too worried about getting a receiver in round 1 because they're plenty of good receivers that should be available in round 2.

ON a serious nature, Manny Lawson could use some help since the other 3 schlubs are not up to par. I guess we'll have to take Patrick Willis, but Alex Smith still needs a WR to throw to. Maybe we can convert Willis to WR?

I'm just now seeing this post. I can only assume it's a joke. Otherwise it may beat the "Cover 2 mode" post.
Anyway, just because a guy is drafted in the first round doesn't mean he'll be the only impact player from that team's draft for that year. For example, Steve Smith was a 3rd rounder IIRC (although they say the average WR takes 3 years after being drafted to hit his stride). A halfway-decent GM should be able to make use of his entire draft. The 49ers have more than just WR as a need.

Where's the cover 2 mode post?
And how the **** do you convert a LB to WR?

I forgot what thread it's in (Gobears81 or d00k might know), but he mentioned how getting Lance Briggs would help the Niners and I said I can only say for sure that Briggs would have the same production in a Cover 2, but the Niners of course play a 3-4 and I don't know what type of pass-rushing skills Briggs has since we don't see it with the Bears. So his suggestion was to acquire Briggs, keep rushing the LBs, and have Briggs hang back and play in "Cover 2 mode." Bears fans had a field day with that one, it was a running joke for a while. GB81 even drew up a plan for how to have a "switch" to turn Cover 2 mode on and off.
But yeah, like I said, I can only assume he was being sarcastic with that "Convert him to WR" post.

Dude, you didn't know that Peyton Manning would have a hell of a time scoring if he didn't have Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, Dallas Clark, etc.? What are you, stupid?
