Thanks for all the comments, and there are legitimate things pointed out. However I must address the comment of the Lions not getting a DE early in the draft. Now correct me if I am wrong, but they have signed Dewayne White a solid and potential starting DE from Tampa Bay. They they do already have Kalimba Edwards a decent player, and behind him is a talented athletic rush end in Swancutt, and Harriott has potential. Then you have a run stopping DE in DeVries. Not to mention, if Shaun Rogers comes back well, and if they like Bryant at the other DT spot, they could always move Redding back out to DE.
Thus I find it odd why even Kiper has the Lions taking Adams when I think they have a decent defensive line, especially with Rogers in the mix. Now maybe one of those players is not on the team, maybe they cut Swancutt or something but based on those players I would be satisfied with them all at the DE position.
However, I must say the Lions do not have many major needs outside of ILB, CB, TE and maybe S. They are a young team with a lot of talent that has been collected. And since they have so many picks, I bet they will trade them to either get a great player or get a veteran player on another team.

Sorry, man, but you really don't know much about the Lions. They have huge needs at the following positions:
QB (Kitna is old/not any good...McCown has asked for a trade...Orlovsky has looked awful in limited time, despite what some people in Detroit think)
DE (our starters are most likely Dewayne White and Kalimba Edwards at this point)
RT (Rex Tucker...John Scott still isn't ready and might not pan out)
MLB (Teddy Lehman, who hasn't played in two years due to injuries)
OG (Woody is a likely cap casualty and the rest are journeymen)
Both CBs (

)
Cambell and Fitz are fine TEs, especially considering that Martz doesn't really use the position. I guess Kennoy Kennedy isn't great, but I don't think safety is a need unless he's clearly BPA.
Edit: Missed your comments on the Dline. Edwards is not a decent player. He had one decent year (his contract year, coincidentally) and hasn't shown anything before/since. Swancutt is a backup at best. Redding isn't nearly as effective as a DE; he certainly isn't going to help us pressure the QB from the outside. The Lions really need a starting quality DE...I'm not sure if I think they should go with Adams, but DE should definitlely be addressed on the first day.
