I see the Sporting news has us taking Adams at #2. I think this would be a mistake. Adams will be a good player but #2 is too high for him. I think his value would be better at #5-#8. My draft is:

#1 Oakland: J. Russell QB (Al Davis loves this guy and Oakland needs a future OB badly. Oakland will also probably trade for someone like McCown).
#2 Detroit: C. Johnson WR (The Lions will draft him but I think there is a good possiblity of a trade. I think the Lions will ask for too much and CJ will stay a Lion).
#3 Cleveland: Brady Quinn QB ( I think with him being a hometown boy and also a good QB...Quinn is there choice. But I think passing on Joe Thomas will be a mistake for them).
#4 Tampa: Joe Thomas OT (No brainer)
#5 Arizona: Adrian Peterson (Fills a need a should be a future star if he can stay healthy).
#6 Washington: Gaines Adams DE (Good choice for them)
#7 Vikings: LaRon Landry S (Atlanta is*&^% because this is the guy they wanted. Minnesota has improve themselves with a future NFL star).
#8 Atlanta: Patrick Willis ILB (Wanted landry and a little surprise but I think they got a stud here with this choice. Will be a Great one in the NFL).
#9 Miami: Levi Brown OT(They needed this).
#10 Texans: Amobi Okoye DT(No surprise)
#11 49ers: Jamaal Anderson DE
#12 Bills: Ted Ginn WR
#13 Rams: Alan Branch DT
#14 Carolina: Greg Olson TE
#15 Pittsburgh: Paul Posluszny OLB
#16 Green Bay: Dwayne Bowe WR
#17 Jacksonville:Adam Carriker DE
#18 Bengels: Leon Hall CB
#19 Tennessee: Charles Johnson DE
#20 Giants: Darrelle Revis CB
#21 Denver: Jarvis Moss DE
#22 Dallas: Dwayne Jarrett WR
#23 Chiefs: Reggie Nelson S
#24 New England: Tanard Jackson CB
#25 Jets: Aaron Ross CB
#26 Eagles: Jon Beason OLB
#27 Saints: Chris Houston CB
#28 New England: Michael Griffin S
#29 Ravens: Joe Staley OT
#30 San Diego: Brandon Meriweather S
#31 Chicago: Lawerence Timmons OLB
#32 Colts: David Harris ILB

Lions picks(assuming no trades. I only go 4 rounds).

1. Calvin Johnson
2. Justi Blalock OG
3.Lararr Woodley DE
4. Drew Stanton QB

Would Carriker fit well in our 4-3?

With the latest news on McCray, I think Jacksonville is down to either taking a DE or FS in the 1st round.

Just some personal gripes I have with the draft.

I can see Tampa Bay taking Adams instead if that were the case...but Thomas is definitely feasable.
Peterson going to Arizona is fine, but saying it's a need is a reach.

San Francisco would probably take Carriker before they took Anderson due to fitting the 3-4 better...but I personally like Anderson more.
Ginn will not be going to Buffalo, they already have Lee Evans, and they need more help at plenty of different positions then another fast WR.
I think Pittsburgh would take Carriker before they take Posluzny.
With Hall, Nelson, and Griffin still on board, the Packers would take one of them before they took Bowe.
Dallas would take Meachem before they took Jarrett, and would probably look at Nelson instead.
No way Kansas City goes defense, it's WR or OL.
Tanard Jackson in the first round? uke:" class="inlineimg" />

Overall not too bad...but some players are missing, a la Lynch, Meachem, etc.

You know me.

I do hope we go Nelson if the draft goes this way... it seems like we could get a decent DE in the 2nd round anyways. Crowder, Moses, Johnson....

Just say not to Drew Stanton comepletely. Why is everybody on his jock? He's Mike McMahon II. Great athlete who can run....YIPPEEEEE! I would be happy if they didn't draft a QB at all this year. Keep Kitna off his damn back and get a decent running game going and you cut down on his turnovers
