You can flame me if you want but my dream draft for the JETS would look something like...
25-Dwayne Jarrett-WR. Say what you want, I think he's clearly the 2nd best receiver in the draft. He's proven on one of the biggest stages in college football. Makes spectacular plays down in the redzone. You cannot pass him up if he is somehow here. I like WR with this pick, Bowe would be my second choice. Again, I know a lot of people will disagree. All of the players that I really want, will be off the board at 25, ex. Reggie Nelson, Revis, Hall, Okoye. So I'd go for a wideout here.
59-LaMarr Woodley-OLB. I love this guy. Just watch him explode around the corner. He might not have great speed, but he has burst. Just like Jarrett, he's proved he can play with the big boys at Michigan. Perfect fit for our defense in my opinion. Would give us a legit pass rush.
63-Marcus McCauley-CB. I've seen a lot of mocks with the Jets selecting M.M at 59, so for some reason I can see him slipping to here. Again, this is my dream draft. He would address one of our biggest needs here, and with great value at the same time.
89-Manuel Ramirez-OG. Big, strong, most importantly a guard. A lot of people on here seem to like him with this pick. I've never really watched him play much so I cannot say that he's a great player. I just know this is a good spot to pick a guard, and Ramirez seems to fit here like a glove.
Remember, this is my dream draft. Many of you would hate going WR in round one. I think it makes our offense much more versitile. Jarrett would come in right away and be effective. Again, notice I said DREAM draft. These are the lowest that these guys could possibly fall, and probably all will be gone before we make our picks.
Feel free to post how you think the JETS will draft with these picks. It will be interesting to see what everyone thinks. Leave comments!
