his numbers took a dive, i agree it wouldnt be the best thing for the player. That doesnt mean it couldnt happen though.

I would be more certain that Briggs could play in a 3-4 if he displayed some semblance of a pass rushing skill set with the Bears. He makes tackles and big stops in open space - which is great, since that's what the Bears' want him to do in their defense - but he does little else. He's good enough in pass coverage but the only interceptions I've ever seen him get (6 in his career) are thrown right at him.
