Slaton gets the ball quite often on the inside draw especially considering the presence of Owen Schmitt and WVU's zone scheme. I'm sure there are worries about his size and durability translating to the pro level, but if he can stay healthy this season I think you may have him underrated, and he may well go pro.

Biggest concerns for me are the lack of patience he tends to show and his propensity for fumbling the football.

Hart is decent, but too fragile and small for an every down back in the NFL.

Blah Blah Blah. They say that for every small back.

If he's healthy the fumbling should take care of itself. I haven't followed up but I assume the wrist surgery on one (or both?) went well. That hit he took against Louisville left him with no feeling and forced him to carry with his off-hand the rest of the season. Wasn't able to keep the ball toward the sideline or stiffarm / balance for that matter either. Don't know how much Noel Devine will cut into his workload however.

That '09 class is unreal. Slaton would be the best back in the '08 class.

So would McFadden, Rice, Slaton, Stewart, and Felix Jones if he was a featured back.
Real weak senior class

I don't think Devine will have a huge impact (taking carries wise, not stats wise...I'm a huge Devine fan). They run the ball so much, it will only help Steve.
