And he doesn't have as much wear and tear on his body as most 26 year olds do (which is far more important than actual age).

Age is Age, he should be in his prime. You're not understanding the gap between NFL age and Real Age. Michael Strahan is still playing he's 35, that's not even middle aged in real age, in NFL age, he might as well be 70 years old. In 4 years the Dolphins will be looking for the next QB for their future because he's gonna be 30.

Miami needs offense of power in the worst way. They should definitely draft a big time offense of guy like McFadden or maybe a big time QB like Colt Brennan. As far as receivers go they will be able to pick up a good receiver later on in the draft. A guy like Duvaughn Flagler out of Gardner Webb University would fit Miami well he's big, strong, athletic, with good speed and sure hands and he will probably be available later on in the draft unless someone snatches him up. Miami also may want to look to trading Ricky Williams if they do draft a RB if Williams is still worth anything.

Can they trade down for a head coach? Or maybe just a general manager...

IMO you trade down to the 10-15 range and draft a QB. Last year the messed up by not taking Quinn. One player is not going to turn this team around. That would give them a 1st, (2) 2nds, and then probabally (2) 2009 1st rounders.

It would be but it's almost impossible to fine someone who has the goods to come that high up.

This is what the Saints gave up to select Ricky Williams:

1st Round Pick (12th overall)
3rd Round Pick (71st overall
4th Round Pick (107th overall)
5th Round Pick (144th overall)
6th Round Pick (179th overall)
7th Round Pick (218 overall)

As well as the next seasons

1st Round Pick
3rd Round Pick

That was to move up 7 spots! For a team to come up from the 10-15 range it would cost WAYYY too much.
