What QB do you think the 49ers should get if we can't get a FA one to compete with Alex Smith? Please no first or 7th round, look what happened when we picked there and got nobodies? Somebody has to push Alex Smith the way Andy Lee was pushed.

I think you guys need a better OC, or one that understands playing to someones strengths. If Turner was still their, Smith would be a Pro Bowler this year (not saying much with the NFC past Romo and Farve)

Smith is not a seven step drop Qb, yet thats what they set their system up for

I say fire Nolan, and make a run at McDainiels(Patriots) or Garrett(Cowboy's)as the HC Either one of those would turn him around. I'm wary of Garrett as a HC right now tho, he only has 3 years of expirience, and this is his first year as a playcaller

Alex Smith sucks. Draft a QB. I have been saying this since they drafted him, he is awful.

They are pretty much married to him for a while.

If they can work your scheme around him, he will be fine, which is what they did last year. If they dont, then he is one of the worst QB's in the NFL

The Patriots have our pick, and we have the Colts pick. Ironic we fell for the Superbowl jinx.

It's ironic the other QBs have something to work with in Oline and the WRs. The 49ers have neither one as they drop balls, don't play, disappear, and aren't reliable. I do agree that Jim Hostler needs to be shown the door in the worse way, but I don't know about bringing Nolan back for a lot of fan base are pretty ticked off right now, may not renew tickets. Yorks may have to pony up for 35,000 seats a week to prevent blackouts...which to me, they should just sell the team

We need to have a real exhibition and push Alex Smith. The ones we had for several years have sucked. If there's one in the draft, and he has an arm, get him.
