Trading for the top spot....not
I know the Dolphins have said the 1st pick can be had and so in a lot of mocks people have them trading the pick I just do not see the happening. The Dolphins will want full value for the pick and while in the past people have done this they for the most time have a reason to be trading up. That reason most of the time is a QB but since none of this years crop of QBs is worth they first pick that is out. Other times it is for getting the best player in the draft. This year most people have either Macfadden or Glenn Dorsey ranked the highest. Teams have been a little shy of using high draft picks on running backs let alone trade up for one. Granted the way AP ran this past year might change some ones mind, but that does not mean that a team has to trade with the Dolphins to get it. The Dolphins have a lot of needs and you can say that a second RB is nice to have in the NFL right now but with a lot of money tied up in Brown a and this is a deep draft for RB I do not think there are too many people that think the Dolphins will take MacFadden. A team could trade with the Rams and not have to give up as much. Now if a team wanted Dorsey it is possible that the Dolphins could take him so they might be willing to trade up for him. But also in this draft is the DT from USC Ellis while maybe not as good he is thought to be a possible top 5 pick. So a team would have to decide if Dorsey was worth giving up extra to get him over Ellis
