Can someone please explain how Mark Sanchez was not invited to the draft?? Josh Freeman was? What is the point in having a guy sit through 16 other picks before him...especially since he wasnt realistically going to be a top 5 pick, and not even a top 10 pick according to most. Strange one.

I think he was invited, but he chose to stay with his family because he preferred to be at home

Yes he was invited he just chose to stay at home with his family which I can't blame him for.

I get the feeling that the reason Sanchez didn't want to go to NYC is because he wasn't entirely sure when he was going to be drafted, and didn't want to just sit there and wait for his name to be called in case it took a while. Remember what happened with Brady Quinn when he got drafted #22?

Yes but that is why the NFL invited so many players this year. I started to think for a little while that ESPN was just hyping up Sanchez because they want to make another Quinn story.
