OMG...never mind...I had no idea he was just 4 ints. away from the leader with 100 less games played...
George Blanda currently holds the record, but Brett is closing in fast! This is where we will keep track of this important milestone. Hopefully Brett returns next year to break this record!
George Blanda Stats: Total games played: 340; career interceptions thrown: 277.
Brett Favre Stats: Total games played: 241; career interceptions thrown: 273.
I would take Carr, Johnson, and Garrard over Farve next year...the rest I guess might be worse but i would still have to look up last years stats and think about it...
You would really take washed up Brad Johnson over Brett Favre??...yea Favre is washed up but I think Brad Johnson is more...Brad Johnson lead the vikings to a drop dead horrible offense.

Carr put up way less numbers, Johnson who knows if he will even start next year, and Garrard was by no means a star but have at it.
Get your stats right as a poster before telling someone to retire.
Blanda didnt play 340 games.
And before you try and correct me to a link, he didnt start 340 games at qb. Some seasons where you are counting games he didnt even start at qb. He played different positions which let him rack up the games.
He's crying after a Hall Of Fame career and is about to retire...Alot of players do that when they are getting ready to retire...You dont know what he was thinking anyways,if he was going to stay or not.
Did he retire at that moment or now? No, so wtf are the tears for? It's plainly obvious this guy craves the spotlight and is horrified at the thought of life after football.

I dont know maybe its possible that at that moment he believed he had played his last game. Id prob cry to after the career he had.

look, I am not trying to take anything away from Brett Favre...he was great in his day...but he is old and washed up now...it is time to hand up the cleats already...and this is the same thing that I thought when he announced he was coming back last year...
by the way...I am also under the belief that Farve is very over-rated....mainly due to John Madden's man crush on him...the guy won ONE super bowl and so have many others...he was REALLY GOOD IN HIS DAY....I will repeat that so there is no confusion here...HE WAS REALLY GOOD IN HIS DAY...but his day is over and he needs to understand that...
other people have had this same problem and it is painful to watch it happen...

Ypu basically were by giving false stats, saying he should retire now etc. Blandas numbers were way worse, yet you posted them and said Favre should retire right now. Even though his TD-Int ratio is right around guys like Peyton Manning and Marino. You also said when you think Favre you think INT bc of his last few seasons, which infact were not that far above his career averages except for the season two years ago.
Oh and then the ridiculous commments of him being a bottom five qb, and the comments of the qbs youd take over Favre including a guy in Brad Johnson who got benched and might not start next year. S
