I've calmed down and after watching his interview, I really do feel bad for the kid. I mean, obviously he didn't go out there and purposely **** up. It happened and it is what it is. You'd like to think he'd be a little smarter in that situation but it is what it is. Here's to the 49ers being back on this road next season. I hope the Patriots **** the Giants up.

8 offensive coordinators and this has been the constant complaint with every single one of them. lol Maybe its the QB they're working with that's the problem.

Alex Smith has a system that works with him. It's very run-oriented, and he gets more opportunities as the game progresses. You can't shoulder it on Smith, you just can't. You didn't shoulder it on him the whole season and now it's his fault? That's stupid, regardless of the outcome. He did his job. He didn't throw one pick. He did all his team had asked him to do that season in that game. Yes, he got chances, but not everyone makes the best of them. Does that make Manning a bad QB because he didn't capitalize whenever he got the ball in the 4th/OT? No, he's a great quarterback. If it wasn't for those slip ups on special teams, the Giants don't win this game.

If it wasn't for Alex Smith, the game never would have gotten to OT. I've been faulting Smith for years, nothing has changed this year. The only difference with the 9ers is that Gore is back to his old self and the defense is performing well again. The best system for Smith is one where he has to do as little as possible. Harbaugh made it work for a while, but there's always a time when the QB has to win the game for you, Smith isn't capable of doing it. And before you bring up the Saints game, that was an abberation. If you can't back it up it means nothing.

You just hate being wrong... You'll praise Tebow who throws 4 passes a game, yet you'll chastise Smith for the same kind of game play. I think you're just more concerned with me saying I told you so, having said that with proper guidance and a bit it constant play time, that Smith could be a productive quarterback. That's all that is...

Don't forget, Smith did win the last game to get them there. He made great throws and has done so all season long. He didn't make the bad turnovers. And further, the 9ers line looked terrible against the Giants front 7. He was constantly being rushed, flushed, hit, and knocked over. The Giants brought it on the D front. I'm willing to say that Smith wasn't a factor, but then again, he didn't have to be, and wasn't asked to be. NOTHING was working for the 9ers at all that night. It's not like Gore was lighting things up out there either. Quite a few times Smith made things happen out there to keep drives alive. He still posted a 97 QB rating. Was sacked 3 times and and rushed/hurried 18 of his 26 drop backs... Not his fault. If you combine the sacks and hurries, it shows that he didn't have decent protection more then 4 times the entire game. Again, not his fault. The Giants just brought it.

Oh and MS, I told you so...

Told me what that I was right? LOL I said he makes his worst decisions under pressure, and vwalla! Giants got some pressure on him and Mr. I Get Sacked Alot shows up. He actually had good protection the entire first half, I don't think he got sacked even once. I just don't get why everyone is jumping on the bum bandwagon.
