Dumb Rule
Who's bright idea was it to come up with the rule that if you challenge a scoring play they won't review the play? That's just wrong. I wanted the Texans to win today but they won because of that horrible call by the refs and the most idiotic rule I've ever heard of. It should be the officials job to officiate the game, not the head coach. If they challenge a play that can't be challenged then tell them that. As it is, they allowed a TD that clearly should not have happened to begin with, I mean it wasn't even close. Forsett could not have been more down than he was unless he was buried 6 ft under.
Not that big a difference between normal refs and replacement refs, that call was as bad as any one we saw from the replacements earlier in the year.
And this leaves a loophole now. What's the keep the other coach from challenging? So take the INT that the Texans got later on in the game as an example. It was eventually overturned and the Lions got the ball back. But, what happens in Kubiak challenges that play? Rules say you can't challenge and there will be no review. So he would have locked it in as an INT even though the ball hit the ground and it was incomplete. It'll be interesting to see if a coach figures that out and tries it in a game
