The Dallas Cowboys are like the Jets of the south. The only reason we pretend they're not is because Jimmy Johnson built two Superbowl championships there.
Tony Romo gets a lot of hate but every time I see the poor ******* he's running for his life. How can Dallas have had a quarterback as talented as Romo for this long and not build him an offensive line? He makes mistakes but he shoulders a lot of team and coaching mistakes because the media dumps on him.
I can think of a lot of teams that would look dangerous with Romo as their quarterback. He could make an immediate impact in the NFC North on any of the three teams not Green Bay.
I think Dallas is holding Romo back. Its the worst ownership in the league. Horrible football culture all around. Their stadium is ridiculous. Their coaching always sucks
Romo is 0-3 in make it or break situations like the last one against the Redskins. Sure he CAN be pretty good, but in the end I think he is unpredictable and you never know when he is going to throw a pick to ruin the Cowboy's chances at winning.
Oh and should I mention the Cowboys have not been to the playoffs in a while now?
It's hard to blame the quarterback entirely, or even mostly, when the offensive line sucks. Having to instantly scramble often enough where you're counting on having to instantly scramble can't be a good environment for decision making.
I don't think he's a Tom Brady or anything but if you put him on say the Vikings or Seattle or somewhere where he doesn't have to do everything or it's a loss and I bet he would have his best seasons.
