Its amazing that during his playing time there were running backs like Curt Warner, , Eric Dickerson, Marcus Allen, John Riggins, Roger Craig & Tony Dorsett who got more press, but he was Mr consistent and yet he was underrated during his time. He was only recognized after he broke JB's record and the Bears won the Super Bowl. He truly was Mr. Sweetness.

Walter Payton was the ultimate sportsman. I can't forget how everyone left him alone on the sidelines after Chicago lost his last playoff game. Mr. Consistency from year to year on a bad team who he then led to the Super Bowl. Never complained once that the Fridge took his TD from him.

RIP Walter Payton, the best there was.

Class act of a guy and a great player. His death was too sudden.

Hey, all of you Chicago people, does anyone remember this? I have a plastic 45 record that was given out by KFC that has Sweetness singing on it.
