Bucs.
Smith is coaching the best defense now, Kiffin has been coaching the best defense for like the previous 5 years. The Colts defense is insane despite the fact it doesnt have hte talent of the rest of hte top 5. Herm Edwards is a good coach getting **** on by injureis.
Oh wait, did I forget about the youngest coach ever to win the super bowl?

Its ****ing hilarious to me that you omit the fact that Dungy wouldn't have even had a start in coaching without the Pittsburgh Steelers, Dungy became an assistant coach for the Steelers in 1981 at the age of 25 and was promoted to DC 3 years later.
You also ignore Tom Moore who entered the NFL via the Pittsburgh Steelers and coached here for 13 years.
You can't call this the "right" way if you haven't done any research.

dont forget about Rod Marinelli making studs out of scrubs (Greg Spires, Chris Hovan, Chidi Ahanotu, Ellis Wyms, Chartric Darby, Steve White) and what hes done to help the careers of Warren Sapp and Simeon Rice
possibly the best DL coach in the business

these aren't all time ranks, I said our coaching staff had been dominant over the past decade and your partner opposed, these aren't all time comparisons and we're not going into the 80s to get more coaches who have had success
the names listed were provided by Steely

The Giants win. Bill Parcells, Bill Bellicheck, Romeo Crennel, John Fox, the list could go on and on if you choose to just use guys that were on staff in the 80's.

Even so, how can you claim Dungy if he learned the ropes with the PS? Ditto Tom Moore. You've got to judge by tracing the roots of the coaching tree and identifying the branches, otherwise any evidence you put forth is tainted by omission.

its not about going with a time frame, its about tracing the coaching tree. Parcells disciples have certainly been very impressive and they'd be hard to argue against but the Knoll branch also impressive.

though he may have gotten his start with the Steelers in the 80s, as i've stated, this is over the past decade or so, not the past 20+ years
/that point
