Most of the talk about TO going to the Raiders assumes both would be there. However in the interview with Moss, he brought up a good question when asked if TO would be a good fit in Oakland: "Am I here or not?"
A trade between the Eagles and Raiders involving TO and Moss would be interesting. In fact, it would probably make the more sense than all this BS about the Eagles releasing him and the Broncos or Cowboys signing him.
A lot of people probably wonder why the Eagles would just trade a headache for a headache. However in my mind, Moss is 5x more impressionable than TO. Lets be honest, Moss started his career in Minnesota, which has proven to be the Animal House of the NFL run by bad coaches (Green, Tice) and bad ownership. You throw Moss on a team like the Eagles, who have strong leadership and a highly-respected coach, and they continue to win, I think Moss would find his place.
There is only one issue in my mind: Why would Oakland do this trade? Perhaps money reasons - Moss is entering the last half of his contract where his cap hit makes substantial increases. TO wants a new contract, which the Raiders could structure to be cheaper than Moss' over the next three years. For a team that is 3-6 and probably requiring some offseason help, those cap savings could come in handy. Plus, the Eagles could always sweeten the deal and add draft picks just to rid themselves of the situation - something the Raiders could use as well.
Also, a WR with the talents of TO fits Norv Turner's offense better than Moss, who incidentally hasn't really flourished on the Raiders this year.
Anyhow, just a thought....
