Mooch already got booted by the Lions and they are looking for a new coach, who else do you think will get the boot and who will be available for the Lions to get. Where else do you think other coaches that will get fired end up, I think coaches such as Billick, Martz and Haslett will probably be gone. WHOS GONNA END UP WHERE????

All indications are that Billick is staying in Baltimore for 2006.

Coaches that are not going to be back next year: Jim Haslett, Mike Tice, Mike Martz, Dom Capers, Norv Turner, Mike Sherman if Favre retires, Mike Mularkey, possibly Dick Vermeil, Herm Edwards, who will move to KC if Vermeil retires.

Sheesh, what's with all the bad coaches named Mike? Mike Nolan needs to call Mike Shanahan and get the vaccine before the Mike virus infects him.

With the exception of Vermeil, who may retire and won't coach anywhere if he doesn't coach in KC next year, all of those teams are making the correct move by firing those guys. You don't want any of them running your team. Coordinators and college coaches are where it's at this offseason.

Coordinators/assistants likely to be a head coach by February: Jim Schwartz, Jim Fassel, Al Saunders, Russ Grimm.

I don't think Tice or Edwards will be fired. Martz will probably go to one of those teams that fires their coach.

I agree that someone will hire Martz.

Edwards isn't going to be fired, but if the KC job (his dream job) comes available, word on the street is he'll get out of his contract to go take it.

I was almost sure Norv would get fired but now I'm not so sure. I heard that Lamont Jordan & several other Raider players are trying to talk Al Davis into keeping Norv Turner because they don't want to have to learn another system & start over.
